i've checked all the boost and vacuum lines, i've checked the air regulator as best i can, i've checked the TPS sensor. I've replaced the 4 boost pipes, some of the vacuum lines, the mass air sensor and the fuel regulator. How do i check the temp sensor, and which one?

Right........I've put a new fuel regulator on, replaced the boost hoses and some of the vacuum lines. The ECU diag still gives me code 55 but my car is still mis-firing to f**k and nearly stalling every time i try to accelerate. If anyone lives near lancaster and could possibly help me then i would love them forever cos i'm getting to the stage where i ready to give up. My number is 07815915590. Please help me.........

Thanks a lot. I'm almost to the stage of removing the plenum looking for this leak. But i don't need to now, thank f**K, cos i wasn't looking forward to it!!!! Do you have a part number or will nissan know what i mean? Thanks again.:D

Had a look at the vacuum lines and they seem fine. When it idles ok its at about -20psi. I drove it around for about 10 mins and then it started really struggling to stay ticking over, almost reminded me of when i removed the boost pipe on my old starion. Still no error codes though? I'm sure it must be a pipe or a valve, but i'm not sure what or where.

Will do....Just had a search through previous messages and noticed a few things, so i drove round a bit with the A/C turned on and the car ran fine at low speeds, but didn't like it when i put my foot down. Also when the car is at idle if i remove the TPS plug it makes squat difference to the rpm. Is that right??

Had a look round, removed the boost pipes and checked the hoses underneath couldn't see anything. Did a ECU diagnostic and it comes up with 55 so nothing wrong there. I ran it on idle for a bit and it seemed stable but as soon as i took it round the block and tried accelerating it started playing up again. I'm sure i can still hear air escaping though?

Hello. Car was running fine yesterday, nothing remotely wrong, started her this morining and she wouldn't idle properly. revs were going up to 1500 - 2000 rpm then cutting off so the car nearly stalled, then just as the battery light comes on it revs to 1500 - 2000 rpm then cuts off and so on. There is also a lot of fumes coming out of the passenger side exaust and i think there is air escaping somewhere in the engine bay. I'm going to have a fiddle about now but any advice would be fantastic. Thanks.........

Hi all. Just a few questions. First i was looking into getting a new steering wheel for the Z, i've got my eye on a nice momo one. I know that i'll need a boss for it but what can i do with the cruise control buttons? Can i just disconnect them cos i never use them anyway? Next is my gear knob, the one thats on is really tatty, and i'd quite like one to match the new wheel, but it'd look stupid cos the gator thing attaches to the bottom of the original. Would i have to buy a new gator for it or can anyone recommend one that's near enough a direct replacement for the standard one? Lastly, and i know this is really quite sad, but where can i get a sun strip for the front windscreen with nismo on it? I saw a skyline with one about a month ago and wanted one ever since.

Its a 91 uk spec. I'm using optimax on it, never had a problem until i put a APEXi filter on. Since then i've already had 1 air mass sensor go, but i thought it was just cos of the fact it was over winter and that the unit was old. Now the first time the car is driven properly in the wet for a while, 4 weeks since the new unit was put on,and i'm getting error code 12 again!!! What the f**king hell is going on?????

Hi everyone.......My car was running fine when all of a sudden it started to drive really rough. When ever i stopped it was almost stalling and accelerating in any gear made it kangeroo down the road!! i am just about to go and check all the pipes under the plastic cover, and also the boost hoses for any leaks. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
