Is there anyone in the north west who would be willing to take out my heater matrix? I have started it but lost the will to live after 2 hours of not making any progress. I'm trying to remove it with the dash in place and have taken everything off to get to the black control box, and thats it. I obviously can't drive it to far but i would also like to see how it is done as well. PM me for my number. Thanks, Stu.

i've removed the blanket and ground the support away. Heat inside the engine seams to have reduced and the bonnet is still quite strong. I did leave a hammer on top of the engine so when i slammed my bonnet closed it left a nice bump! :xxx:

I'm in the process of replacing my heater matrix as it's failed. I've linked it out at the head so i can run the car but i was wondering if my demist would still work? I presume it will, it just wont get hot.

It looks as if my heater matrix has blown up this morning. Got into the car and it was fine, went into town, got out and the bottom of my jeans were soaking wet! Huge puddles in the foot well both sides. Managed to get it home ok but i'm not quite fit enough yet to start pissing around with it myself. Can i just kink the pipes going through the firewall so i can drive it to the garage? They look like they are branched off the water curcuit so it wouldn't restrict flow would it? Saves pi$$ing around with removing them and fitting a length of bypass hose... Thanks.

the 300 has the turning circle of a super tanker as standard. As far as i'm aware its the same for most high performance cars like the 300.

Don't know about building them but a friend from work does the blinds and roof shutters to stop it turning into a greenhouse in summer. I've done it now, what a difference! It feels a lot more secure and doesn't 'skip' left and right over bumps etc. Also when you're pushing it you get a much better feel of what the back end is doing. Thanks for everyone's help. Cheers, Stuart.

Does that not affect the power steering?

I've been reading through the posts about hicas elimination. I know there is a kit, but for the time being i just want to lock it into safety mode. My car is a 92 uk spec so i can't just pull a fuse as its mechanically operated. I've been told i can link it out at the plug on the valve itself but what wires do i link out? Thanks, Stuart.

Tried to repair the unit but it's still noisy. Can i just rip it off cos i never use the air-con anyway.

Behind the map lights is a small fan or gyro attached to what looks like a thermistor. What is it for? I've unplugged it and it doesn't seem to affected anything. Is it just extra fan for cooling the interior?

At the end of the day it there was a few clear points that changed the game: 1: Silvestre should have been sent off. He was last man. Been looking around the car for things wrong and i'm 99% sure i haven't got a boost leak. Deffo sure it's not the MAS. Was gonna check the fuel pump and now my meter has decided that the world has a resistance of 1.32ohms. Every blade of grass and even a brick has this resistance! So i thought i'd check my timing....find out my brother has the gun in Yeovil, so i'm off to get pi$$ed instead! I just want to make sure, if it was engine internals, there would be oil/smoke and more obvious signs?

i ain't got any cats(or dogs), but i've got silencer's so i'll check that out. Duffman, what should be the normal resistance for the pump? I'll check that out as well. If it was the pump wouldn't the engine run sh1te cos it wasn't getting enough petrol- mis-fire, hesitation etc? Mine's really smooth, it just doesn't accelerate!

Visual, unfortuantly i'm lacking any real test equipment for the zed. If there was a boost leak would it not hit full boost and then start dropping off? Also would i not hear something maybe?
