1000bhp, unlimited torque, nose bleed inducing acceleration and....standard brakes that couldn't slow down a push bike!!!!!

Recently i've noticed that my car has been feeling very slow. It runs fine, no cutting out and i'm also getting full boost when i accelerate. I feels as if the engine is holding back, but there is no mis-fire or any smoke of any sort. I did a quick, rough count of my 0-60 time on the way home from work and i got to 7 seconds before i hit sixty! :(. Also things like before, when i accelerated hard the wheels span in first, second and sometimes third, now they don't even spin in first! Ecu diag reads 55 so all clear there and i haven't found any boost leaks or any split pipes that i can see. The only thing i've noticed is a buzzing from the passenger side of the car but i think my speaker might be goosed. Any ideas would be apprciated.

I've been speaking to some people at noble cos i'm trying to buy a m12 gto (can't afford it yet tho! :cry: ). That's a Noble M400, it has a 0-100kph of 3.5 seconds, 180mph + and reaches 100mph from standing in 8 secs!!!!!! It costs £65k new and there is already a 8 month waiting list. Perhaps if i save a little bit longer..........................

MOT day today...passed without any trouble, save for 2 new back tyres which i knew about. However the guy said that i'd need a new steering rack for the next MOT. How much are they new and has anyone repalaced them?

i was having all sorts of problems with my series 1 ptu, so i moved it similar to the aus300 site except a much simpler bracket. It now is a lot cooler because its getting a direct blast of cool air from the fan and also i used rubber spacers to eliminate any vibration. Also you don't have to rewire anything as the existing loom reaches. Only cost me £10, I recomend it to everone.

I got pulled today by the same cop who stopped me for driving while on the phone (when it was at home) a while ago. He was following me round the one way part of lancaster so i was doing exactly 30mph. Came to a corner at the bottom of town, went round still doing 30 and when i pulled up in the car park to go shopping he was behind me, got out and started going on about doing me for not having full control of my car round the corner! I ended up saying my car could have gone round just as easily at 60 and after he complained about that i told him i needed to go shopping and if there wasn't anything else i was going. Is there anything i can do to get him to f**k off? I didn't get his officer number so will i have to wait till the next time he pulls me for no reason? :xxx: :xxx: :xxx: :xxx: :xxx: Stu.

I have just had exactly the same problem mate. Moved the PTU to the passenger side of the engine bay above the fan as shown on the aus300 site ( http://www.neuralmotion.com/forum/tech/ptu/pturelocation.htm ) and all my problems went away. Tried making it play up today by driving it for 30 mins and leaving it for 30 mins before i turned it on again and it fired up every time sweetly. If you want i can send you some pictures/drawings of the bracket cos mine was much easier and cheaper to make than the one shown. Stu.

I've been having intermittant misfire/cylinder down etc. Ran this morning from cold perfect and went to see Steve and coming home a cylinder went down. Steve and i notice a few things to try and so i just wanted to see if anyone else had tried them and if so what results they had. 1: Move top water pipe further down the ali pipe to increase distance between rubber hose and PTU. 2: Remove the sound insulation from underside of bonnet. 3: Make a heat shield to go between the water hose and PTU. I was also wondering if its the PTU unit overheating or the heat from the engine affecting it? If its the first would covering the back face in heat transfer paste help? Also now it's started playing up is it fooked or can i still save it? Thanks, Stu

Try disconnecting the earth on your battery, putting some grease on the terminal and carefully reconnecting it after 5mins without it arcing from terminal to connector. Same thing happened to me a bit ago and it took me ages to figure it out. Apparently it has some kind of anti-surge safety feature that can only be reset this way. Hope this helps..... Stu.

Had a very broken thigh bone for the past 8 weeks so not been in the zed much. 3 days ago the doc said i could start driving again :hyper: . Today gave it a bit overtaking a learner car it was fine and got home and it was still fine. 1 Hour later came to turn it on and it sounded sh1t, tried driving it but after about a mile it sounded as if it was on only 5 cylinders. ECU diag gives 55, no smoke on boost or idle at all, but when i checked the plugs one had oil on it. :nono: Is this a sign of a dodgy valve seal? :confused: If so is there anyone in the morecambe to preston area that could check/repair it as i'm not quite fit enough to take the engine apart, and thats about as far as i can drive at the moment. Do you still have to 'run in' an aftermarket ECU for 200 miles or so? I know with the stock one it re-learns everything but is it the same with uprated ECU's? With my old JWT ECU there didn't appear to be much difference in the running of the car over 200 miles after a reset, and i'm getting a new one off Chris@Greddy(cheers mate :D ) and was wondering if someone could take it for a test drive the day i put it in.

The slave masters apparently told the cockle pickers to stay in the water until it came to knee high. Unfortunatley knee high was in the van that night!

I went to a local (ish) TVR dealer today to discuss buying a Tuscan S due to a recent promotion, things were going really well, test drove it checked it over and started getting down to talking turkey when he told me that on a £35K Tuscan S they'd give me £4000 trade in for mine!! I mean 300's are nowt special i know but i had all the reciepts of the modifications i'd done with all the history as well, it was pretty much spotless inside and out and the fact that i can pretty much keep up with the standard tuscan on most things apart from 0-60mph. Was i expecting too much or is this normal? i was going to go for a skyline before christmas but i want something British and i'm wondering if i should go for a Noble M12 (in BR green of course) now as i've recently seen one going hell for leather round the lake district and they're fast as fook!!!!!! (and they're only £40K new)

You can get a Skyline Gts-4. They are 2.5ltr single turbo but with the GTR's 4 wheel drive system. They are supposed to be pretty nippy.
