Just bought some wheels tonight, however, i am not sure whether they will fit or not, or whether i can get away with spacers if they dont... the rears are; 265, 35, 18 with an offset of 38... the fronts are; 235, 40 18 with an offset of 52... i think the rears will fit, the fronts i am not to sure about, any advise please... thanks, Dan

why the different profile on the front than the back?

is that 35+ on the back and -5 on the front???

a friend has offered me some wheels which are 18" diameter with a stud pattern of 114 and a width of 9.5j... My question is however, will they fit my Z as they have an offset of 50... will they stick out past the arches? or sit too far in so that i would need spacers... cheers guys

I have heard many different views on the law about aftermarket hid kits, some people say the car needs to have headlight washers, others say gas dischargers, others say 12,000k are dull and glare other road users etc etc... My 92 UK tt has gas dischargers and h/l washers... Can i fit aftermarket hid`s to my car within the perimiters of the law? & if so, whats the law on temperatures as i like the 10,000k and 12,000k kits... cheers fellow Zedeers

ur z chipped? I had mine chipped by a well known make, it was fine for three weeks then started to cough and splutter (although no cat lights) i changed everythin; ptu, plugs, coils you name it... anyway in the end i got hold of a Mines ECU, put that on and problem solved! looked at the old ecu, it had scorch marks where the chip was fitted... thus causing hesitation problems...just another idea mate

I cannot insure the car with aftermarket wheels on it until April next year, Im 22 you see and they said they could only insure me if i was to keep the car untouced, i tried other companies and they said i had to be 25 to insure a manual TT...

Ok I have decided to have my wheels refurbed and i want spacers to bring them out a bit to make them look better, However i cannot decide what finish to go for, ideally chrome would be nice, but triple plated chrome would cost £1100, I was thinking maybe either white, bronze or a glossy silver... any suggestions and/or opinions would be great, thanks guys, Dan

I want to replace my standard door speakers, first of all, how do i get them out, i have only briefly tried to remove the speaker grill, but didnt have much luck... Can anybody tell me how to take the speakers out...

My UK spec TT manual has started to make a creaking noise when i press or depress the clutch pedal, the noise is like a creaking/clicking that can be heard both inside the car and outside... What could this be? I first thought it was the cable on its way out, as thats how it sounds...but they are hydraulic... so i am confused any ideas anybody? Thanks Dan

i have fitted an aftermarket oil temp guage, and my standard guage seems to read in accordanct to my aftermarket one, mine too takes about 15 mins to warm up and cools down (40degrees) within about 1 hour after switching off from normal operating temperature... hope that helps

Yes, my BMW experiences this, no-one can explain this for me, apart from the tyres may need to adjust after being parked in one positon, i.e they may become slightly egg shaped and need to adjust back to being round, hope that makes sense...

what engine oil is best for my car, and how much should i put in it when i change it at the weekend??? Its a 1992 UK spec TT Manual Its got a Mines chip and boosting at 15psi cheers guys,

Ah, i see, had a John Dixon chip before and replaced it with this Mines one, and the car seems to run a lot smoother, and faster...

has anybody got any information about what power increases a Mines chip has on a manual UK spec TT? A graph showing torque and bhp increases over stock power would be fantastic... thanks guys
