I want to fit an aftermarket exhaust tom my Z, its a manual tt and i want to keep the cats... Ideally i would like to keep it looking standard but with a nicer sound... What exhaust do you recommend guys? if you could post some soundslips that would be great...

My 92 Uk TT has had a misfire for a couple of weeks now, it is only occuring in 4th gear when its coming up to full boost, the engine hesitates and the car looses power... I have ran a diagnostic and found it needed two oxygen sensors which i have now replaced, i have changed the spark plugs too and i am still getting a missfire in 4th... What should i try next? cheers guys

missfire caused by faulty oxygen sensors???
My car has faulty 02 sensors, and a misfire in 4th gear, could these be related? Maybe the car is running lean and blowing the spark out...?...? What do you reckon? cheers guys

Misfire! managed to bring up these codes, what now???
As many of you know i have been experiencing a misfire in 4th gear on boost, however i have just done a self diagnostic on the cars ecu and codes 33 and 53 came up, i believe this is to do with oxygen sensors(not maf) , is this true? Also what do i do now...?

yes i made sure also that mine were spaced at 0.8mm i think it might be everso slightly better (5000rpm in 4th gear as a pose to the entire rev range in 4th) but in no way fixed, so when its plugged into a diagnostics will it show if theres a coil faulty or bad maf even though i have no "check engine" light on the dash...?

changed the plugs this morning and it has made no difference at all, still hesitant in fourth with a misfire upon rapid acceleration in any gear...???...???...

My 92 300zx TT has been chipped and is running 14psi, it performs fantastic in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears. However, in 4th on full throttle just as its coming up to full boost the car starts to hesitate "misfire", the boost stays constant so i know its not loosing pressure, the car starts to jerk and not accelerate as quickly. I have tried to repeat the process in 5th gear but it seems to run ok...only 4th seems to have the problem. I have also repeated the process running it on low boost but that does not clear the problem. Any ideas anybody?

boost cutting out????
I havnt hooked it up yet and wont be able to until the weekend, i have noticed however that even though the power is cutting in and out the psi on my boost guage is staying at a constant 14psi, also the car can be a bit hesitant if i put my foot doqn quickly in any gear, is this a sign i need new spark plugs?

My UK TT is boosting at 14psi and is fine in 1st, 2nd and 3rd, however in 4th on full boost it becomes very hesitant and the boost cuts in and out, whats causing this, any ideas??? cheers guys

i have also noticed that when the car does it, my boost guage fluctuates up and down... i thought maybe could it be my boost controllers "overboost" function?...?...? what do you reckon?

it was dark out and the smoke was very light so i could not tell the colour although i would say possibley blue, and it smelt of oil

Last night my car performed well at 15psi in 1st, 2nd and 3rd right up to the red. However in fourth on full boost the car became very hesitant and started to jerk slightly as though it wasnt getting enough air or fuel... I then pulled over and opened the bonnet, the car was rough idleing and had some smoke coming from area where i think one of the turbos is (near the bulk head, drivers side). I let the car run for about ten minutes and the smoke ceased and the revs settled. Does anybody have any ideas about what was going on....???
