one angry and soon to be an Ex Zed owner!
theres no point in getting in a tizz and getting shut just because of what may be a minor repair. darkside has offered to help, & to be honest, if anyone has an incentive to pack in, its darkside at the moment, but hes thinking positive like you should be. theres not one of us here thats not had a problem with the zed in one way or another and get fed up, but we just get on with it. so chill out, have a drink, and let darkside help you out. thats what being a forum is all about. :D

Alarm and Turbo Timer?
sigma have been around for years. not the easiest of alarms to mess around with either as they are programmed using a sigma programmer that fits over the flashing led. autotek in sheffield are sigma dealers.

Alarm and Turbo Timer?
very easy to do using heavy duty diodes. they only allow a voltage to run one way, so it doesnt take much working out. they are used on most alarm installs now for the pin switches to stop feedback to another light.

Alarm and Turbo Timer?
yes, i put the wrong thing down. lol. thats what you get with trying to type in 3 different boxes :D. but, trust me, if fitted incorrectly then the insurance has the right to refuse to pay out even in a smash. i am an approved installer so have seen it all. lol

Alarm and Turbo Timer?
please just be aware. if your insurance says the car needs a CAT1 alarm system fitted, then having the turbo timer fitted joined to the alarm invalidates the certificate, hence if you have a smash your insurance is invalid. theres only one thatcham approved CAT1 alarm on the market with turbo timer built in, and thats the CLIFFORD AVANTGUARD 5.5.

warning
theres a huge problem with modifying 4x4 vehicles for offroad use, and has been for years. im highly surprised its not happened before now tbh. ive seen some dangerous ones done in my time. unless you know exactly what you are doing, then leave well alone. they just dont think of the consequences until its too late.

The most "inconspicious" wide body kit?
theres a hell of a lot of work goes into just fitting the kit alone.

not a happy bunny
right, where do we start. lol. but lets get one thing straight first about these ICE forums. unless you are spending huge amounts of cash on top of the range gear like alpine, audiobarn, phoenix gold, kappa ect, they will crib you on everything, which i cant stand, and probably over 95% of the members havent got a clue what they are talking about anyway. its not a case of the more you spend, the better it will sound. its how you put a system together. the list you have above is way OTT for a normal install. i used to have 2 shops which specialised in ICE & security, have done basic installs right up to kitting out competition cars. i have put at the side my opinions of the above. one thing people should remember is, speakers are only as good as the amp driving it. and as for jbl`s, the worse mistake they have made is putting small magnets on their subs, lets them down dramastically. im not sure what your intentions are for your install, but as legrath says, 2 x 12`s or 2 x 10`s should be quite ample with the room available.

Repair or wide arch kit?
you will be lucky. youre talking over £1k just for the wide arch kit
-
Boost with stock restrictors (not stock)
you need to remove the other mig tip quick before it damages something. one turbo will be running more boost than the other.
-
what boost to adjust?
as dave has said. running that amount of boost on stock is asking for trouble in a very big way. stock turbos run out of efficiency at 17psi anyway, so its not a case of IF, its a case of WHEN something goes bang. you ideally need an electronic boost controller running 14.5 max to be safe, and as for NOS, forget it unless you want a pile of bits in the sump. to run what you are after, then its an engine rebuild with forged internals, upgrade turbos, injectors, ect. just an example : forged internal kit £1500, someone to rebuild £1500, turbos around £1200-1500 spec dependant, 550 inj £500. thats around £5k to start with.
