  3. apparently, the white one ive seen twice, the owner/co owner works at eckington somewhere.
  4. that seems a very low offer to me. tell them to try buying one for the money they have offered. i doubt they will find one.
  5. theres only 2 i know of si. one is the swb that belongs to trancemandann on here & the other one ive seen a couple of times but not a member, and apparently owned by a woman.
  6. i got the wife an advent & the lettering has worn off quite a few keys. its only 16mths old, but it gets used for hours on a daily basis.
  7. pcworld do a range of refurb ones with 12mths warranty at a decent price. they are only available online though if thats any good. heres a link. stick to the packard bell, compaq or toshiba ones. the advent are ok but the letters on the keys ware off with heavy use, and stay well clear of the EI system ones. http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1363966491.1222800004@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccffadeffgmhhgicflgceggdhhmdgmh.0&page=ProductList&category_oid=-28487&show_all=true
  8. fibreglass matting, resin, hardener, honey wax, colour pigment/gelcoat, acetone, brush, roller. thats about it. oh, and the part you want to copy. ;) http://www.resin-supplies.co.uk/
  9. i would say its got to be the mobo settings then thats not right.
  10. not sure if youve already been down this road, but try reading section 3.2 of this http://www.seagate.com/staticfiles/support/disc/manuals/desktop/Barracuda%207200.11/100452348e.pdf worth a shot.
  11. fred may have done a better job. looked like one fell onto the M1. OOOOPPPSSS. :slap:

i certainly wouldnt like a bill for that lot. theres some seriously expensive stuff there.
  16. theres no way of doing it with that unit im afraid dan. its not even VGA compatible from what youve said so you could use a carputer tower.
  17. this is a direct link to maxtors software, you may need a different http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.jsp?locale=en-US&name=MaxBlast_5&vgnextoid=7add8b9c4a8ff010VgnVCM100000dd04090aRCRD you ideally need the software for the new drive your getting. so you will have to wait till you decide what you are going for.
  18. no. you can get the software needed from manufacturers websites. what make of drive is the one your using at the moment ?
  19. you can copy the whole drive as an image over to a new drive so it instantly works. but if you want to install a fresh copy of windows then you will need the software discs for whatever you want to install. or, if you have the setup program which youve downloaded to your pc, then put it on disc before removing.
  20. yeah, but never mentioned price, just a fast one. i use a 15k one as C drive & got 3 x 10k in pc for storage. i would never go back to any other type now.
  21. why not go scsi ?. a hell of a lot faster than other drives.
  22. if the LEDs are 12v then all you need is a ballast resistor to dim them, which are supplied with the rear light conversions. looks like this dan
  23. great news nick :hyper:
  24. should be easy to fit. it just fastens to the brackets thats normally there, unless like mine & there aint none. easy enough to aquire though.
