  1. i think this debate is always going to cause problems, which is proven if you look back through the threads over the years. sure, its nice to know you have the most powerful one in the uk, as in RWHP, but its not always the case that its going to get down a 1/4 mile faster than a lower BHP car. its down to the driver, condition of the track, tyres & weather. whats the point in having a 1000bhp car if the tractions not there, its useless then. this topic always makes me laugh at times ;). thats my 2 penneth anyway :nana2:
  2. good luck chris. shame it has to go though.
  3. yes it does. keith mentioned it on one of his threads. think the rebuild one.
  4. now thats more like it dave :D. i only want to do a temporary bypass till i get round to polishing my spare plenum.
  5. i didnt want that reply :slap::rofl: are you sure :wack:
  6. anyone know if its possible to do the plenum bypass without having to take it off ?. on the way back from the meet yesterday the small hose split & started to overheat again, which can be seen if you look directly down the side of number 1 coil pack & plenum. its only about 2.5 inches long as well
  7. maybe you need to decide if you want to keep the car full stop. whether your here, or australia. 1) could you get one of the same spec over there ? 2) cost of shipping 3) cost of storage bare in mind insurance, plus you would have to sorn it even though your not here. just a few things to think about there ;). good luck whichever way you go.
  8. got you email & added
  9. maybe the cost of engine rebuilds could have something to do with it. :D
  10. not sure about changing trumpet. i doubt it would make much difference to be honest as they dont really have any affect on the noise, however, there has been some put duck/fox callers on the ends  . as for payment, would prefer hsbc bank transfer, tsb second or cash. either will do.
  11. yes, they are in working order because they are still fitted to my car. lol. they are not mega loud as i didnt want them to be, but enough to make heads turn, if you know what i mean.
  12. hi mate. want £150 delivered for them & they will work with any turbos you can fit.
  13. i have a pair of blitz ones, but they come with hardpipes, ready to fit.
  14. hi james & welcome to the forum. both your concerns are common faults. ive had mine for over 1yr & when warm i get no oil pressure at all. more often than not, the fuel smell derives from a short link pipe between the fuel rails, its right at the front under the plenum. hope this helps.;)
  15. think these are the ones edk83 got. apparently not as good as they are made out to be. no doubt he will correct me if im wrong lol

in 1972, 4 star was 22p a gallon. that was when you could get 2,3 or 4 star. you could get parafin from the pump, & diesel you could not give away.:rofl:
  17. how much info do you want to get off the drive ? as in size. if you send me the drive, i can put it on dvd for you. the offer is there if needed.
  18. remove the lappy drive & use one of either below to connect it to your motherboard in the pc you use. the only problem you may come across is the file system. 95 & 98 use FAT32, xp ect uses NTFS. http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?TabID=1&ModuleNo=28724&doy=22m7 http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?TabID=1&ModuleNo=44932&doy=22m7

  21. hi mate. yes, i wired the brake light wire + direct & used the resistor supplied inbetween the side light + wire, to the same wire. if you understand that lol
  22. there is a + & - on leds. if the wires are connected the wrong way, they wont work. try changing the wires round
