bought a stillen V2 ducted panel. i guess to one has to get the angle JUST RIGHT to ensure the air goes over the engine. i`ll probably leave it as it is. thanks

hi i am sure that many of you have a variety of healight panels. are they just supposed to look good or are they supposed to have a function like allowing air through them!! I am asking because i have just bought a headlight panel and it doesnt have any "holes / vents" to let air through or am i supposed to get the holes / vents made before fitting!!!!! what have you guys done! cheers

its great to see that my simple question has brought the memories flooding back for you lot........however all of what has been discussed means nothing to me (as i only joined last year) but hopefully when i have kids and they go on to buy a RELIABLE 300zx i will have many stories to tell them of the forum.....until then i will just read your posts and imagine how you guys must have felt (for most of you that may probably be the feeling of excessive alcohol).........keep up the good work!

what op did you have? hope it went well. havent touched my zed for 2 weeks need to drive it next week so i know how you felt, just hope mine starts on the first turn

i wouldnt advise covers on lights. i had some on mine though the were cool at first but then realised i could see anything when driving at night!!!!! when i had my MOT done this year they told me that the covers were blocking more than 30% of the light!!!!!! there are many different designs for the headlight panels (panel between lights) toy should have a look around good luck

cheers arthur...i had a look......so have you got you one polised (plennum that is ....lol). if so how much did it cost and who did you go to, i.e. what type of company, somebody said find "alloy refurbishers or polishers" and they will do it. so i assume paying £230 for one is not a good thing.

i am going to venture into the unknown and try and sell some stuff on ebay. I tried reading their guidelines but didn`t understand a word. just wanted to know about all the charges that ebay charge. what happens if you don`t sell you item etc etc. anything i should watch out for?

just spoke to a friend and he explained that the "plenum" is part of the engine!......shows you how much i know about zeds.....anyway he has a spare one lying around and said i could have it...... so my new question is...who do i go to polish it and how much should i pay!!!!

i have seen an offer £230 for "Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo High Flow Polished Plenum". is it worth buying and if so how much does it cost to fit and maintain (ie keep nice and shiny)? cheers.

somebody on this forum has resprayed their interior dash (plastic bits) in silver. jsut wanted to know who it was and whether they could tell me how the did it (preferably step by step instructions). cheers. p.s. i know most of you will think....that all that is needed is a silver spray can but i assure you it is a little more complicated.

ok so i have now accepted the fact that i have to pay £14 for taxes but Parcel force charged me £10 for "clearence fee" now what the f**k is all that about. by the way thanks for making me feel better skyline dave!!

how much is it normally?

just wanted to make sure i`m not being taken for a ride by the government. just bought a vented panel for my Z from the states. It cost me $155 including postage. anyway when the postman came to drop it of he said i had to pay a customs & excise charge of £25. i was a bit shocked as i have bought a few things from the states and a few have been heavy and large (like my blow up doll) and i`ve never paid any taxes. Is this right? How come i have to pay for this and not for other stuff? (postman said "some stuff get through whilst other stuff s charged!!!!!) I`m a bit narked as it has turned out to be a bit on the expensive side, although with the exchange rate being good it still doesnt matter. so should i just accept it or make a fuss? cheers.

well to give you a biased opinion i would say get an auto. if you are looking for a good relible one then i have one for sale!!!!!!! i prefer an auto as it give you more time to look good and you dont have to worry about stalling when trying race at the lights.

i know you want a TT manual. I have a TT auto for sale. its great fun. I too was looking for a manual but decided on an auto as its EASIER to drive i.e. gives you more time to look good for the girls. Anyway, if you change your mind let me know could negotiate a price. check "FOR SALE" section and look for title "another car for sale". good luck. p.s. you have great un with a Zed but another car is always helpful!!!!mostly due to petrol cost (thats what i find anyway)

i have just ordered some stuff off them. Phoned them first to ask how many orders they get from UK. they said that they got loads of orders. Anyway, the point was i then decided to order some stuff and its been about 2 weeks and i`m still waiting. may ring them if i dont get anything in the next few days. please let me now if you here anything significant.

just tried luke's site....i believe some people have been having some problems with it! anyway.....couldn`t see the bumper on his site maybe it needs updating. last year i was a wide arch kit comprising of about 9 pieces....looked like a huge vent! anybody got any pics of it or no what i am talking about. I`m getting some piece put on my car need to find a decent bodyshop...any suggestions!!!!! (been quoted about £3000 for spraying and fitting of a wide arch kit....not sure if that is a bit pricey) also anybody have any more info on that bumper i would be grateful.

konard i swear i have the same picture with the same background with the same colour car but different kit (i think it was strosek). anyway what company make the new bumper does it belong to a full kit or is it just a bumper.
