I have a similiar competitive streak in me, where I have to be faster than all my friends. It stems back years but as I'm getting older, I'm starting to realise that I aint getting any younger and I want to start to think about owning my own house. I have been over the thought of breaking mine again today but I just dont know.......it would knock -x- amount of 000's off the debt but I'd still be left with 000's to pay off with fVck all to show for it!!! :headvswal And left driving a £300 primera diesel day in, day out.....hmmmmm.... :x: Who knows......good choice in the beemer though mate, very reliable powerful car....maybe its just me, but I feel that turbocharged cars will always be a PITA!! :(

AHEM! Read JD's first post again........ :slap: JD, really sorry to hear this mate. Funny you put this up as last night I was talking to Spinksy about the very same thing. The amount of hassle I have had versus the amount of time spent enjoying it just doesnt way up. Because of how expensive everything to do with the car is, it takes me a while to save the money up to buy the next phase of the project. The question is, is there EVER, EVER an end to it? :confused: I put off paying other bills to buy parts for this car :x: (STOOPID I know!) and its the reason I am in debt at all!!! :rant: And I still dont own a house, I'm 28 now!!!! :( So, all in all mate, I can completely empathise with your decision, its a very difficult and brave one to make that I just cant find the 'Gonads' to make:bow:.....even though everyone else tells me its the right one..... :rant: Good luck with everything and thanks for the advance warning about the parts.....all the best with whatever you decide to do...... ;)

Yeah sorry to hear this mate... I've gone through my finances this morning and its depresing to see how sh1t a state I am in at the moment. I'm playing catch up for the next few months and then its xmas, so no money for the zed till new year at least.... :( and I need a new bed!!! ;) Tis a bitch to run at times, I have contemplated selling loads of times but now its off the road till next year its not costing me a penny and I've come along too far now to give up when I am so close to having the project finished...... If you think the cars worth it, go through your finances AGAIN and see if you can afford to keep her..... ;)

Guys Can we list here all possible brake upgrades available. I have finally worked out to do my engine and prop, N/A diff, N/A subframe etc its all gonna cost me about £2k....... ;) Now, why is it you can go so much done for that amount of money then soon as you want decent brakes, its an astronomical amount!!!!!!! :mac1: :rant: So, possibilities are: 1) Misti Evo caliper with custom bracket...Ebay possibly? 2) R33 GTR (is it the 33? or 32?) kit....is this straight bolt on? I'm thinking not. 3) Pro packages from the likes of Z1 performace £!!!!!!!.....loadsa money.... 4) ?? 5) ??

Guys Has anyone thought about opening their own garage up? I'm not looking to compete with anyone or anything like that and TBH, there's no-one around my way (Well, within a 15 mile radius anyway) that offers a good garage service for the Zed/Jap cars. Luke's just outside.... Its just a thought, but I am getting so bored with IT and I love the job satusfaction you get from finish a job on a car. I have been working on cars since I was 14 so I'd like to say I know my way around them although I dont know whether I would feel confident enough to run one on my own....... Like I said, just a thought guys at this stage....not looking to become a millionaire from it......I just want job satisfaction and I dont get it in IT anymore...... 'Kin fed up of being stressed TBH..... :(
