  4. At the end of the day, Microsoft is the one thats targeted 9 times out of 10, why? Cus its so bloody good......hence why most of the world ude their products...Its the arseholes that create the viruses that makes the software sh1t, making it crash, not boot etc etc and thats what most lament users see and experience without proper knowledge of how to reduce the risks. I do like Apple's though, loads of eye candy and the processor speed of the Apple is about 3 times as good as a pentium....but thats not Microsofts doing..... bananas are nice too though! lol :D

  7. After building so many brand new system for family friends etc, this statement is so so so so so so so so true...I have learnt the hard way...and wasted days.... Get your system fully spec'd first, all Office Patches, XP patches and run a utility like MBSA, it'll find out and seek all currently known vulnerablities and advise on how to amend this. I have got this off to a fine art and surf some pages that I know the code is bugged to high heaven and all my systems have tested OK. Well said mike.... ;)
  8. Hey thats not like you. Do what you normally do, give ryan loads of abuse and then make him hate you for the rest of his life...... It worked with Macca

  15. Thanks Andy, I will do the search in a bit. Those arnt really instructions, more of a guideline TBH...... Do I really have to remove the engine too?? Its step by step instructions for a novice mechanic that I am looking for. Maybe JeffTT could do some, he's done plenty I am sure.

  18. I take it u mean the two screws for the plastic panel! Like I said, I will break it off as its broken anyway. Bet their rare as they always seem to be broken on most zeds I have looked at!!
  19. Thanks guys, I will try the jump lead/spare battery thing tonight as th egearbox is already out so the live wire is hanging down. Failing that, I'm gonna try looking for me battery terminals/leads through the plastic bit under the windscreen as mine is broken anyway so not bothered about that at the mo. Failing that, the drivers side window is being broken as my sorn is in there and its £80 if I dont get it sent off really soon!! 5 weeks overdue now!! GULP!! That windows scratched over the years anyway! :D
  20. Guys, I need to get into my Zed but someone, AHEMNIGELAHEM :D, took my battery terminal off (As your looking from the front off the car its the right hand side terminal which I believe is the negative) and shut the bonnett meaning I cant get in as I have no door/boot keys!! :slap: So the remote fob wont activate?! Is there a secret way of getting into my car without smahing the drivers window? I can jack the car up but can I reach the catch if I stretch? I could on my old escort! :D HELP!
  21. Yaz - I may well be in touch matey! :( Frosty - VERY TEMPTED ChrisP - The car is worse than any woman I have ever been out with mate, serious, this b1tch drags me through a forest of thorn bushes with my legs wide open. Thats how rough the ride has been!! I just cant get my head round it! Tell you what, I bet even if I stripped the f'kin thing down to the bear shell and rebuilt with all brand new parts, it'd still fVck up on me. It looks like i thrash this car around but seriously, I hardly ever thrash it, thats what I dont get! Other cars I have owned I have abused to the hilt, doughtnuts, burnouts, redlining, etc etc, but this one, I pussy-foot about cus I Know what the consequences are, but it makes no difference!!! I still want one of you senior guys to confirm that what VMTP is telling me is the truth. Cus if it is, I am seriously going to consider coverting. ******* car!!!! :mac1: Still love it though! :( Rant over!
  22. I take it none of you have seen this problem before? Well, I have now spoken to VMTP and they have advised that this is a common problem and one of two things has happened. Either the crank has too much play in it which I will test once the drive plate is off or the drive plate is worn?? I aint no expert on mechanics and that so can some explain whats caused what problem and why???? VMTP advise they can put a new neck on the torque convertor, fit a new bush and seal in the gearbox and with the labour this should be £190 which they wont give me any allowance on. :( Also, they say I need a new drive plate which from Nissan is an horrendous amount. Can one of you more senior guys or u experts please confirm what they have told me. I just wanna know I aint being speiled loads of rubbish....before I go splashing out loads of money on my f***ing gearbox AGAIN!!!! FFHS!! Thanks....:x
  23. Are you talking about a standard nissan alarm(is there one?)? I presume you must be or you would just move the sensors for you new alarm. Cant really see this causing a major problem though, TBH. Mechanical and electrical boost guages both work in the same way and there isnt any difference in connections etc... , with an electronic boost controller you can alter boost pressure (Apexi AVC-R), called a boost controller. Obviously far more expensive than a mechanical boost guage but at least you can alter your boost pressure whenever you like without getting your hands dirty. If you can afford £300, get the electronic boost controller, especially if you plan on keeping and posibly modding the car... HTH...
  24. If u cant afford the tubs then my advice is wait till you can.....JIC. ;)
