  1. Yeah i got a din blank to cover up the hole for now and it doesn't go right into the slot because the dash trim is in the way. I see, i was going to cut the holes out to the bulk of the size (52mm) and have the rim of the gauges on the outer surface. I can get it laser cut at uni for cheap ;)
  2. cheers jaikai, im gonna try and make my self one,
  3. Hi guys, im sure you know the thing i mean, the gauge holder from z center. Does anyone know the dimensions of it? is it something like 200 by 50, by 3 thick? Thanks Mark
  4. How come it looks so simple in that bay aswell, when 300zx looks like someones dropped a load of pipes in the bay
  5. I like the spoiler, really goes with the spacecraft shape of the car. what one is it?
  6. Its the exhaust housing inlet thats confusing me, is it just running off one bank. Or is the exhaust from the other piped in somewhere? Looks mint whatever is going on
  7. My mate had this on his skyline, 3 turbos later he found out it was valve stem seals. He just left them
  8. Im sure this has been for sale for months. I always just overlook it as that kinda money id expect no kits but a minty mint standard and original car
  9. Apparently it has, its had a thorough thrashing by the previous owner and it still lives :D Thats not the controller i have, mine is blitz but its not got the option to change to psi. Yeah i meant scramble, i dont like the sound of that so ill leave it alone. Cheers Zilver
  10. Hi guys. I have one installed but i dont really understand it. Ive downloaded the manual and given it a thorough read through, but its still no clearer. It has 4 modes (levels of boost) an off mode, a warn mode and a scatter mode. No idea what scatter is, i know what the off is. Warn mode is confusing me, when i switch to it it has -15 on it in red light. The 4 modes are already set. 2 are at 1.28kg/cm2 68% and the other 2 are at 1.28kg/cm2 57%. When i floor it it goes to 18psi on my aftermarket gauge on mode 1. I know thats not standard, but i dont get what the controller is telling me, its in kg/cm2 I cant see anywhere if its telling my air fuel ratio. I need a techno genius to guide me into what this all means. Any help much appreciated Mark
  11. I had a look over all my pipes and nothing was out of place. I took it for another drive and it was completely fine. My guess is that when it was in the air it got an air bubble in the fuel line or something. Anyway, all is fine. Cheers
  12. ok thanks, ill have to give that a check over tomorrow
  13. I need the help of some professionals. I just planted my foot and as soon as it started to spool it felt like it hit a limiter. It was not nice! happened around 3,500 revs. I free revved it and it went past 3,500. It was only when it was under load. It wasn't a one off either, its been doing it all day. Any ideas on what it could be guys? Maybe a boost leak or electrical connection. If it helps the car has been sat on a jack with the right side in the air for about 5 days. Mark
  14. Oh yeah of course. I think i need someone who knows to have a lil listen till i start dismantling. :D Cheers guys
  15. I dont think its anything serious, but sticky lifters sounds like a likely candidate, also sounds like a hell of a chore to to, whats that, new seals and head gaskets, then all the parts i might need refurbed?
  16. This noise has been coming and going now, makes no difference to the performance as far as i can see, but its worrying me. My last car did this, it came and went, did no damage, did not change the performance, Turned out in the end to be crud clogging up the oil pump and it wasnt pumping oil to the top tappets. Is this likely?
  17. I can have multiple settings on mine, but im still reading the instruction manual.
  18. I have a blitz one, im still trying to figure it out :D
  19. Does it have a unit in the car and a unit in the engine bay, because thats where the plumbing will be, if it is all electric, i would say it went through the sensors and retarded ignition or something
  20. Splicing into the actuator ones i reckon, because its releasing pressure from the wastegates
  21. My dad had a little listen and he said he thought it sounded like a belt, or a tensioner. He even suggested that it could be an air flap somewhere. His subaru has a tumble flap to make the intake air more turbulent, does this car have anything like that?
  22. The noise seems to have gone now, i guess ill just have to keep an eye on it.
  23. Ive looked at all the connections, there all green and not tight, i dont think this is the main problem, but i bet it aint helping. Are these a nissan part? ive found some on american ebay at $20 for 3, they need soldering in though
  24. The plugs on the injectors are all broken, they do just pull off, im not happy with that. But its running on all cylinders
  25. Ive just checked the oil, thats nice and high on the stick. I must admit it doesnt sound like its bottom end related, but as you said, it get distorted over the net and becomes hard to tell the difference. Its coming from behind the timing case.
