  2. ooooo yeeaa!! lol...thanks bud!
  3. Thanks Si!! For what I'm getting paid they're going to take every last drop from me!! I'm actually a little scared now...one of those 'what have I let myself in for' moments!! lol
  4. So as some of you know I lost my job through redundancy at the end of July 2009. I've been struggling (a LOT) since then to get another and after 6 gruelling, long months I've finally accepted an offer today!! I'm SOO happy! Just thought I'd share.... Best of luck to all those others out there that are still looking....it IS looking up in 2010 despite what a lot are saying...just chin up and keep at it!!
  5. I was made redundant end of July and have still not found a job...funds are seriously strained but I will NOT consider selling the Zed...lol. I'd rather rent it out to local school kids to take pics with than sell it...hopefully something will come up soon!
  6. Blimey that's a lot of snow!! Kinda puts London to shame to be honest...only had a max of maybe an inch here around London Bridge and even that disappears within an hour or two!!
  7. You got PM bud...could you drop me a line back when you get a chance before Friday? Thanks mate
  8. That was just awesome...I've seen similar feats on youtube before but none that told such a story ( I don't think!)...added to the fact that she's an absolute fox!!
  9. Huge congrats mate!!!
  10. Congratulations dude!!
  11. The only CostCo I know is in Reading...lol...I do know a few Makros though!
  12. Oddly enough, mine seems to have started doing the same thing...no idea why or how though! confused.com
  13. Mate, do yourself and favour and save yourself a couple of quid: Body weight exercises....pushups, squats, situps, etc....if it gets too easy and you can easily do 50reps a sitting, stick some books in a rucsac and do it wearing that!! THEN join a gym....
  14. I've noticed a LOT of creaking/squeaks/scraping in the last week or so...got me pretty worried but I think it might just be down to the weather. I never usually drive it in cold temps but have had to this year... ...hopefully I'm right and yours is something similar!
  15. Well I'm very baffled now! I tested the AC/heater as suggested and....nothing! Not a squeak! It was very VERY loud yesterday and the car hasn't moved since I parked up on the drive. I haven't taken it for a drive yet so not sure yet if it's a problem that only appears when the engine is warmed up...otherwise can't think what it is. Would the cold have affected it in anyway? Certainly sounded like a mechanical problem so I wouldn't have thought so. Not sure now whether it's miraculously fixed itself or if it's gotten worse and past the 'noisy' stage?! I did have a look under the car and can't see anything out of place (to my eyes anyway!) but there does now seem to be a small oil leak around the gearbox area. As I was using the standard jack I couldn't get far enough under the car to see exactly where it was coming from but it's about midway between the front two wheels and behind the axle...if that makes sense? Small but regular drops (every 10secs) of dark black oil...I figure this has to be down to the 'off roading' but doesn't seem too severe so I guess just checking oil levels til I can get it looked at should suffice? I should add that there was no oil on the drive until I started the car so seems to only leak when engine is running...
  16. Thanks for the advice Jeff. I think it may be something else though only because the noise comes on even when its just the demister on (in which case I don't have the econ option). In any case I'll double check in the morning and try removing the fuse also and see if I still get use of the blowers albeit without any decent heat!
  17. Sounds like it could be the culprit as it does sounds like a loose fan sort of rattle/noise. Is there anyway I could fix this myself?? I'm not overly mechanically minded but I'm a dab hand with a screwdriver! lol
  18. Pranged the underside of the car on some raised ironwork (gate stop) on my mate's driveway and ever since every time I turn the heater on there's a godawful rattling noise which is VERY loud both inside and outside the car! Ordinarily I'd wait til the car goes into the garage to get this checked out but as it's cold out, it's fairly urgent not only for heating but the windows keep misting up too (due in no small part to the bad seals on the door windows!). Anyway, long story short I was going to have a look myself tomorrow to see if its anything I can fix myself but have no idea where to start!! Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction in terms of what to look out for and where? The noise is emanating from the offside front...I think this ties in with where the AC unit is? All help welcome!!
  19. That site is simply amazing!! Great find!
