  1. I've got a set of fully working stock z32 brake calipers and want to sell them to recoup some other costs for the car. I think I remember hearing/reading somewhere that the 200sx boys use our calipers as upgrades for their cars....is this right?? Couldn't find anything to prove this on the net and sxoc doesn't seem to have a members for sale section?? Anyone have any idea how much they would/should go for? They come with pretty new ebc red stuff pads all around.... ...haven't put up a for sale thread on here or anywhere else yet, just trying to decide what to do with them. Cheers
  2. That's brilliant mate, thanks for the input. As I intend to keep the car, hopefully, forever I want to get it done right first time so I imagine I'll be going for option 3. Any idea what it should cost in terms of materials and labour for each side? Say sill and rear arch? Just so I know when I go fishing for quotes...
  3. Thanks for the replies guys! Wow...glowing feedback on both places..I guess price and distance will be a deciding factor between the two but I'll take a look at both. I may contact you guys again to get more details if that's cool with you... thanks again!
  4. Need to get some rust repair done on the ns sill and rear arch and on the os rear arch. Can anyone recommend anywhere/anyone to do the work? Preferably in the south (I'm in London) but I guess most importantly, I want to be able to trust the workmanship and not get ripped off... Need to get this done pretty soon too... Cheers guys
  5. I got my valuation from the Zclub....it's included in your reg fee and was accepted no probs by my insurer... HTH
  6. Happy Birthday buddy!!!
  7. You wanna order it for me mate?? lol...a few other things that need my attention first but it will need doing fairly soon! Cheers for the heads up though...
  8. Anyone know what the import duty is likely to be on a clutch from Z1? Total cost including shipping is a little under $700. Need to buy one soon and just pricing up the options of getting it from Z1 (again) or from Smithys....unless anyone knows of anywhere else? Obviously local would be better in case things go wrong...as it did with my last clutch from z1!
  9. ....via paypal. anything else i need to do??
  10. How did ya renew ya big pansy?? I can't seem to figure it out...despite doing it every year!!! lol...
  11. ....don't want to start a fuss with the committee but I may be interested in your sub for sale.... ...haven't got Pm at the moment..will sort is asap tonight but in the meantime, do you have a contact number/email? cheers Vig
  12. Thanks dudes! Another year has flown by....still feel (and think) like a 13yr old though! lol....just need to get through the work day now!!
  13. Lol...I know what you mean but some of us aren't lucky enough to have their Zeds in a good enough condition to let loose on a track :crying: Let me know next time you go though as if I'm free and can make it there, I'd love to come along and see what all the excitement is about (I'm talking about the pit days of course!)....
  14. I've not been too bad..just keeping busy with the new job. As for the zed...same old same 'ole really - something breaks, I fix it! lol. Main barrier recently has been sourcing locks as my keys got stolen during the break in. Now that's sorted I can sort a few other things out...but summer is always busy and very short on time! Might try and get down to some meets soon...there must be a few left in the next few months.....
  15. lol..well picked up on! Serious hangover munchies!! lol... Andy was raving on about your suspension...I'm saving at the moment but I may well be in touch sometime in the future!
  16. Cheers buddy! not heard from you for a while...how you holdnig up??
  17. Yup, they fitted straight on. They weren't that different in size to my stock discs to be honest so I imagine stocks should fit the r33 brembos. My discs were slightly thinner but I reckon that's just from use.
  18. yes they do....:whistling:
  19. Nope, rear pads were too small. Discs - were actually in ok condition but stock so just changed all over to the R33 discs. Calipers are a great improvement but need to get some new pads and discs in now... Which reminds me....may have some bits up for grabs soon (need to renew subs first!)
  20. It was this stuff mate http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Savage-RED-Brake-Caliper-Paint-Kit-Front-Rear-CHEAP-/120448139764?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c0b44c1f4#ht_1412wt_911 he put on 4coats and the finish is fantastic...almost like glass...though the 4th coat was very hard to dry and needed a fair few hours in the oven! I'm sure if you ask nicely Andy may do a write up....:tank:
  21. lol...too low!! You'll notice the front skirt is pretty badly messed up thanks to various bumps and humps!! I'll also add that in the pic of it looking low, it's actually half on an incline so looks a lot lower than it is usually!
  22. ....to Andy Isherwood and Mark Silverbullet for helping me fit my refurbed R33 GTR brembos yesterday!! It took a fair while...mainly due to hangovers and a bit too much banter/messing about but the sun was out, the pizza was ordered and we had a laugh!! And an extra special thanks to Andy for doing such a sterling job refurbing and painting the calipers!! Absolutely brilliant finish and I'm SOOO chuffed with them!! :thumbup1: Thanks again fellas!!! I've stuck some pics up (apologied for the poor quality!)... Before: After: Close ups: And some random...
