  1. I've got the Toad Ai606 Interactive and can't fault it at all. As for cool features - it texts me when the alarm is triggered and I can remote enable/disable the immobiliser...even while the engine is running if say someone steals it. I got it fitted by a guy from oop North who comes down to London on occassion to do work. Great guy, great job. No botch jobs at all.
  2. Hi Jerrick What's the latest on the ZetaR's then? Are we looking good to get them in? Any idea of how long it will be? Cheers Vig
  3. Jerrick Thought I was already on that list. Please can you add me. Rose joint front top mount (Zeta-R) 1. evilanger 2. marknexus 3. Draxan 4. sumshiftyguy 5. Thanks Vig
  4. I believe you're legally entitled to inspect the property whenever you wish but you must seek consent from the tenants. There is a minimum period by law (1 day I think) but this can be overridden (no less) by terms of the contract. Been a while since my law degree..lol
  5. Cheers for the tip Richard, will check that out. Though Dover might be a bit far for a day trip from Croydon I think. Perhaps part way might be fun. Also, unfortunately due to timings it's likely to be a Saturday! Terrible planning I know. Will probably just spend the day in traffic! lol

  7. I've got a mate visiting me for a weekend in 2weeks who's bringing is Aston Vantage S so we were hoping to go for a long drive to get some decent pics/vids with my Go Pro and generally have a day out (hopefully in the sun) enjoying our cars! Thing is, I've not lived in Croydon for that long so don't know of any decent roads yet. Does anyone know of any good driving roads? Any recommendations? I'd be happy to drive a fair way for something decent and out in the countryside! Google hasn't been too helpful so far

  9. Had a few quick question for those who have agreed valuation and like-for-like cover: 1. did you get specific T&Cs relating to this and/or a certificate to confirm? I've got my pack through from Sky and it makes no mention of either anywhere. It does state the estimated value but no where does it mention that that's what I would get, etc. There's also schedules declaring all my mods but nowhere to say that I'm covered on a like-for-like basis which is what was agreed with them. 2. My car was an auto but I converted it to manual. DVLA now has it has a manual. However the insurance cover says it's an AUTO with with the manual conversion declared as a mod. Is this correct? Sky are insisting that this is fine but I'm not so sure...sounds a bit suspect to me. Last thing I want is for something bad to happen and be told I'm not covered as it's down as an Auto! Cheers Update: I've just got off the phone with them and it seems they hadn't sent out the agreed valuation forms to me. I'm not very pleased as I specifically mentioned it about 3 times! Anyway, they're sending them out now so hopefully I'll get that but I doubt it will come with any additional T&Cs so my question 1 above still stands.
  10. Thanks for the replies guys! Done deal then.
  11. DOes anyone have these fitted? Recommended? How do they look in the flesh? I've still got stock pipes and want to go down the hardpipe route but want something that looks the nuts too! Was looking for CF ones but not sure they exist?? Trying to keep to a black and red theme... http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_964&products_id=4352
  12. I would have been up for it mate but I'm afraid I'm out all weekend. Though I've had this problem twice before and it's always been a spark plug for me. Check as described above...I'm a noob and it was easy enough for me! Good luck and hope you find the problem!
  13. I did contact Footman (via email, same as others as easier to mail them a list of modifications than to run through it every time I call up) and never heard back. Funki - Same with Lynbrook - no reply from them. I've ended up going with Sky, largely because they were the lowest quote of the 3 I have in hand and I'm just too busy to try and ring around anymore of them! My policy is £477 fully comp, all mods declared, like for like cover, agreed value, EU cover, windscreen/legal/courtesy car, 5000 miles and protected NCB. My details are 31yo, no claims or convictions, locked garage in a high risk area (though it's actually the very nice part of a high risk area!) and 9yrs NCB. Seeing as how my Elephant cover which is the only one I've had since I bought the Zed (they were the only ones that would cover me for just shy of £1k!) came in at £425 this year with no agreed value, etc...I'm quite happy.
  14. Will I need to get the Front and Rear adjustable lower arms? It's not included in the kit...same with lower and control arm bushes. Only the upright bushes are included....
  15. Excellent find! ...aaaannnddd.....downloaded.
  16. I'm surprised you didn't take them in front of the FSA/Financial Ombudsmen! Cheers for the heads up though.
  17. £104?? Incredible! Sure they didn't think it was a Micra?? lol I've not heard back from Footman James yet. That's pretty shady what they did though...hmm....I guess it's just one example and all of them will have such examples but something to think about I guess cheers
  18. I've very little experience of AF but just have the impression they are geared towards the 'Max Power' crowd and so might not be so good in the event of a claim. Plus in the past they've just plucked numbers out of the air when giving me quotes. Might drop them a line and see what they have to say this year.... And I very much doubt the cover would be new for old! lol..even if I could prove he said it, there's no way they'd allow it!
  19. Thanks for all the replies guys! So the two quotes I've had so far are from Livingstons Warman (£950) and Sky (£477). Petrolhead - would you be able to elaborate on the problem? How serious was it? Eggs - that sucks! I'm aiming to get everything in writing that I want included on the policy before I go ahead with it. For example, Chris stated on a call today (and I checked to make him say it twice!) that they offer new for old cover on all parts! Even went into a 3min explanation of exactly what that means!
  20. That's good....wonder if there's more on here with good things to say about them. But then I guess you never really know until the worst happens!
  21. Does anyone have any experience Sky Insurance? Would you recommend them? On the hunt as it's renewal time and have got quite a competitive quote from them though it almost seems too good to be true. Cheers
  22. Thanks again all for your wishes! Had a great day out clay pigeon shooting with some mates and my parents followed by a fairly breezy roof off drive back home and a decent night out in the Big Smoke! And that cake is red velvet and vanilla with cream cheese....YUM!!
  23. Thanks guys!! Veilside - I'm inclined to agree with you on that one!! haha This was the cake I got from a friend... And another friend got me the Tamiya Fairlady model kit!!
