  1. I have the exact same thing with mine...and pushing back all the way doesn't seem to help - as it does so when it slides back and amputates the rear passenger. The front passenger then moves it forward only for it to slide back for a second, third and sometimes 4th bite!! I usually end up with the front passenger holding onto the dash to keep the seat forward!
  2. Thanks for the replies guys. Trying to compile a list now of the various bits....
  3. Anyone have a diagram or list showing the different trim pieces? Want to make sure I'm not missing any of them.....
  4. Cheers for the links guys! I was aware of MJP but thought (possibly incorrectly) that they wouldn't be new parts. Not sure where I might have got that from actually... Z1 was a consideration but guess I was hoping for a UK supplier to try and save on postage, etc... Thanks again!
  5. Hi all I'm looking to get all the window seals and scuttles replaced on the Zed as the cabin resembles more a fish tank than car during a downpour! My question is - is there anywhere I can get all of these parts brand new (OEM)? I appreciate this will likely be very expensive but figured I'd consider it first before dismissing the idea. Thanks in advance! Vig
  6. Yea, I couldn't find the name of it and also, wanted to go somewhere 'reputable' and from memory...it didn't strike me as such when I drove past it last weekend! lol.. Nevermind...have booked into National Tyres on Purley Way for first thing in the morning. Only worry is driving to these places without a valid MOT but not much I can do...
  7. That's a good shout there Jaffa, cheers! I did just check though and the earliest they can get to me is next Tues ;-( I need to get the tyre changed so I can go for MOT re-test on Sat. Have gone with National Tyres...more expensive for what I'm getting but no choice really. Will definitely keep Event Tyres in mind for next time though! Cheers
  8. ....used the link provided. Hopefully sufficient. Thanks Vig
  9. Bit of an update - I took the car to Ken's Autos in the end as it was closer. It failed on a slightly balding rear tyre and non functioning rear number plate lamp! Annoying but at least they're relatively small things. Do you guys have any recommendations for tyre places and/or garage in Croydon, pref near Whitehorse road? I'll be driving around without an MOT so the closer to the garage the better. I've already spoken to Ken's and they're happy for me to take it back for a re-test but they will be busy so getting them to do the work might be tough (I ended up waiting in their reception for 4hrs last week just for service and MOT!!) Cheers Vig
  10. Thanks for the replies guys, very much appreciated!
  11. Thanks for the quick post bud! And you've never had any problems with taking the Zed there? I've had some bad experiences before with rogue mechanics with no idea about the Zed so want to be sure... Cheers
  12. Does anyone have any recommendations for a garage near/in Croydon? It's MOT time and Slough (where my old garage was) is a bit far to go just for an MOT... Cheers
  13. I think it should be fine as it's insured as being kept on the road as it is but always worth checking I guess. Cheers
  14. This is the thing, I'm sure I've seen covers with permit pockets too but can't for the life of me find any on the internet! Problem is, they've just re-issued new permits and there's something about a charge for replacements so want to try and keep it safe (every little bit etc). As it's a mate's bike afterall (that he's kindly letting me pretty much have all the time!) I'm thinking I might buy a cheapo cover, mount the second tax disc holder somewhere (not sure where yet) and then cut a whole in the cover so it sticks out! lol.... At least til I find a better solution! No issues with the neighbours...yet! But there's not bike bays so I'll likely end up parking in one of the car bays and annoying a few folks!!
  15. This may well be true but in that case I think they're well within rights to tow/.remove the bike - if they can't verify that it has a permit on it. Hence why I'm trying to find a bike cover that allows the permit to be displayed visibly...but at the same time securely as last thing I need is for the permit to be knicked! lol
  16. That's a very good point. I'm not actually sure but I would think it is included. I've not seen any specific inc/exclusions in the literature but I'll double check after Xmas. On the basis that it will be included...any ideas? Surprising how little there is on the Internet about this!
  17. Afraid not. The permit is registered to the property so has to be clearly displayed on the vehicle. That's the problem, first to attach the permit securely and the second to keep it visible when the bike is covered...;-(
  18. Hi guys POssibly a pretty silly question but I only have space for either the car or the bike in the garage and as the car now seems to suffering from a leak problem, I want to get it into the garage permanently. This means leaving the bike outside. The problem is, I live in a permit only parking area. Now, I've got a tax disc holder that I can stick the permit it but what's the best way to attach it to the bike so it can't be knicked (the permit, not the bike)? I was also thinking of covering the bike but obviously the permit needs to be visible too - are there covers out there that are made with this in mind? To explain, I'm new to bikes and this bike is actually a mate's as well. So I'm a noob when it comes to this kinda stuff! Cheers Vig
  19. Jimmer - I suppose it was your missus who logged on as you on FB and 'liked' James Arthurs page as well eh mate?? haha...busted.
  20. Well the company I bought off seem to be a bit dodgy (unconfirmed but looking that way!). Mister-solutions based in S-o-T. Ordered on the 30th, received email straight away and payment taken then nothing. Been emailing and calling this week and can't get through. Just ordered off the ebay link provided above (thanks again for that!). Fingers crossed these turn up and I'm able to get the car fixed!
  21. Thanks Smithy for the link. Groover - I checked the traders area and couldn't see any 'shops'/posts at all - pretty sure I'm still a subbed member so figured we'd just fallen on quiet/tough times, hence the post. Either way, I've ordered off that link I posted so will see how I go with that. Cheers
  22. Have just found these guys though - let you buy one at a time...great for me at the moment as only need the one.... Will let you guys know how it turns out...
  23. Hmm...ok thanks. Wasn't too keen on buying such parts on fleabay to be honest. In the past got them from Danny so was kinda hoping someone may have filled the space he's left... Thanks for the replies!
  24. Used to be Danny @ DTA and Smithy too I believe but can't see them trading on here anymore - I may be looking int he wrong place if it's all been moved? Where do people go for their spark plugs nowadays? Looking to get my hands on some new NGK PFR6B-11Cs... Thanks Vig
