  1. Ive got a question? I have a UK TT auto 91 with 132k miles. All past MOT's and two previous owners. I am really very impressed that imports have so little milage on them! I know the japs are smaller than us, so is Japan small too! I will look this up. Also I hear that there are restrictions on thier roads limiting their milage use per year? Are the garages like Z specialists out there? Or are they all NISSAN dealers! Why are imports all around 10 years old? Do they pass a yearly MOT after the 3 years or what! And who translates all this Japanese documentation for the potential buyers?? Just curious  Arthur

  10. Having read the guide on buying a Z it appears my car has a problem! :( When I accelerate the boost guage blips to -3 then goes up to +9 (normal) I did this about 20 times on the Mway yesterday and I got the same thing. On idle the needle sits at 0! When I take my foot off the accelerater after boost the guage reads -5 and the goes back to 0! remains at 0 on normal driving, again on acceleration the guage blips to - then to +psi. My engine runs smooth with no whines or funny noises, no smoke, no turbo noises, starts first time, oil pressure +50 running to +15 at idle. The guide says Ive got a problem! :( :( Engine replaced in Aug 03. I have had no problems with engine. Can someone give me a clue please. Arthur

  13. Hi hope someone can help! TURBO'S-having read the Z buying guide! I appear, sorry the car appears to have a problem! When I boost, boost reads 9psi no doubts, done this over 20x today to check. However on idle my gauge remains on 0!! When I accelerate the gauge go's to -3, well blips to the minus side then go's to +9psi. This happens every time. There are no signs of any, I mean any engine problems! It runs smooth, it idle's smooth, the temp is normal, the oil pressure is normal. WTF is going on! Car is UK TT standard. engine replaced last Aug 03. There are no, repeat No! whistling or whining sounds from turbos, no smoke, no smells, nothing! I do like my Z. First time out in two weeks!!!! :) Arthur
  14. 300zx org.uk give oil capacties as; Year 90 NA 4.3/8 w/f & 3.7/8 w/o filter Year 91-96 3.5/8 w/f & 3.1/8 w/o filter same in both NA & TT I did an oil change last month & bought 5L of synthetic & used as much as to fill the engine to the correct mark on the dip stick! Thats not rocket science! Oil filters, now then? Any more views on this! Arthur
  15. Got my Continentals from mytyres on front & rear They have never let go in wet conditions Good price too. I think most tyres are ok, there are other factors to consider. Keep in mind that you have loads of power to deliver with the Z! Use or abuse. Tyres have thier limits too abit like drivers! Would not buy economy tyres though. Arthur
  16. Vince, sorry to hear. not a good time. Arthur

  18. I bought the second one I drove! I didnt know alot about them!! 2 & a half years on still dont!!
  19. In todays market, dealers dont seem as keen to give or nagotiate a deal just because you wave cash in their face! 4k trade in is a good price on a ten year old car. I just traded in a micra for £300 no comparison to a Z though
  20. Try again! I ave a UK TT 91 & I dont ave leather! I thought leather was an extra could be wrong though.
  21. Best to order both & change both if doing one. One goes under & across the other. Even Nissan have difficulty seeing which one to order on their diagrams. They are a PITA to change but I did both mine in an hour or two!
  22. Not my taste & an N/A!
  23. Hi like Jonno said its the petrol cost! I did 23k first year & it cost me sh-t loads of dosh! two sets of rubber,500 quid for MOT. After first year got a second car to runaround in. Now got new engine 4k! new auto gearbox 1400k! more tyres 500 quid, new rad 200 quid! & other bits like discs & pads front & rear, poly bushes and still standed!
  24. Hi, I might tell you aload of tosh! I thought if you select D on your auto, the car pulls away in 2nd gear. The use of 1st I thought was for pulling away on hills. As I said Kia this could be a load of b---ocks. Arthur
