  1. You could try de-glazing the pads and disc's as you say they have got hot. Paul
  2. Sounds like it's an Alan key bolt.
  3. This is all greek to me  .
  4. Sounds fine, just keep an eye on it for a couple of weeks, go for a short run and check the level when it's cooled down. Paul
  5. Did you take the needles off of the clocks, this will balls the gauges up I think.
  6. Their knackered, never changed not sure. Paul
  7. ok Car.Mad, think we should start a new thread, sorry Si for the high jack. Paul
  8. Stu, I have some very good rear spats which are off the car at the moment, If you can guarantee that no damage will be done to them I will lend them to you or if you think some damage will happen I have two which are slightly misshapen you could use. Paul
  9. Just mark the outline of cas to the cas holder. Paul
  10. Look much better painted same color as the car, Paul
  11. Can anyone tell me at what point do the two systems differ, from the CATS or further back. cheers Paul
  12. I think all you need do is remove the brake caliper, you will see a cut out where you can knock the studs out. Paul
  13. It's solid, why not buy one that go's between the hub and steering wheel. Ebay.com is a good place to look. Paul
  14. Mark the position of the Cas, undo the three bolts, disconnect the plug and remove. Replace in reverse order lining the new Cas to the marks. Paul
  15. Thanks Paul, so do I pour the water into number 11 (rad cap) and not number 7? Do I need distilled water or can I just use tap water (with anti-freeze)? The level could be low regardless of this incident as when I last got it back from Zedworld they told me to check it and top it up after a couple of days, but I forgot :slap:. Use number 11, you wont top the cooling system from the overflow bottle. I have to say I've never used distilled water to top the cooling system up, always used tap water. Paul
  16. It should be no problem, it's more of a problem not having enough. Paul
  17. Damien, that should not be a problem, better to much anti freeze, most modern cars run about 50/50. Paul
  18. I would buy a branded name, as long as it states that it has anti corrosion agents. But you need to find what % of anti freeze to water you need. Paul
  19. Number 7 is the over flow bottle, number 11 is the rad cap, you need to take the rad cap off to see if you have water in the cooling system. You should have been able to see some water when you took the rad cap off, No 11, if not top it up. Paul
  20. If your water is a brown colour then it has very little anti freeze in which also has anti corrosion agents, I would flush and replace with the correct amount of anti freeze, it also helps to lower the boiling point of the water. Paul
  21. The rad cap is number 11 in this picture.
  22. Have you checked the water level. How far did you drive it after this happened. Paul
