  1. I understand making the crank pulley from Ali, smaller turning mass, but what is the advantage of an under drive pulley and turning the water pump slower. Paul
  2. I know the felling, sorry for you murt.
  3. Hi Barry, thanks for the offer and if I had any spare money I would have it, I have a nearly new one to sell myself but it,s for the pre 94 models, so if any one is looking for a spare CAS either Barry or me have what you want. Paul
  4. Hi Ryan, if your car is a 95 then it is a series 4. Paul

  7. Does anyone know if the CAS fits all years or did they change the spec of it. From the search that I did it may have changed around 93/94 and again in 96. cheers Paul
  8. This can happen if too much paint is on the panel. They may have to sand it back to the gel coat.
  9. Anyone got some pictures of there crack. Please do not post the obvious.

  12. If you ring them up ask for Doug, he is sometimes up for a bit of a deal. Paul
  13. Can you buy these separately for the center bar? Please ignore this question.
  14. Hi Jimmy, good to see you again today, If I'm free that evening I'll pop down and see you. Before you get there try and put all the adjustable parts of your suspension in there middle settings, that way it gives you a reference point when you start to adjust them. Try and find out what tyre pressure other track day people use, and take a good tool kit so you can change things easily. Paul
  15. How about Bruntingthorp testing ground near Leicester,it has a very wide test track, you pay by the hour I think, and has plenty of space should you get it wrong, plus it has a 2 mile straight. Paul
  16. Also check the gearbox mount at the rear of the box, you can get an uprated Nismo mounting rubber to replace it. Paul
  17. Where did you get the belt and how much was it, if you don't mind me asking. Cheers Paul
  18. If it's working ok then Hicas, I have electric Hicas not sure if better or worse than the hydraulic type. Like to keep bits like this on the car. Paul
  19. I think a lot of it is down to just how much mileage and wellie your are going to give it. If like me you drive like miss Daisy and all seems fine with the other parts, then just change the parts you can afford to change, If on the other hand you do a lot of miles and drive like your arse is on fire do a 60k service. Just my view on it. Paul
  20. You will need to remove the intercooler as well to be 100% sure all the water is out. Apart from some corrosion in the pipes and intercooler i would think no damage has been done. Paul
  21. That's ok then, because it never rains in Kent.:dance::dance: :D
  22. How I did mine, First I rubbed the rim down with a fine scotch bright, this highlighted any pitting and dents. I then welded the parts of the rim which were to deep to be sanded out and then I ground these bits down with a fine grinding disc 120 grit, I only used 120 grit on the outer edge of the rim after I used 120 & 240 grit on a dual orbital sander just to reshape the edge of the rim. After this I started with 240 wet and dry and all grades in between up to 1200, I think it was 6, and finished of with autosol but will be trying what Si and bigman have recommended. If you rims are not to bad then start with a higher number grit. Also make sure you have removed all the sanding marks from the previous paper or the results will be very poor. Good Luck Paul
