  1. :D Ta - saves me some cash.
  2. Just put 20GR's on the rear, it's difficult to see on the pic below, but do my handbrake shoes look low? Not sure how meaty they should be, but I reckon they are only 2mm at the mo. Also, when removing the discs, is there a way of making the ping/spring which holds the handbrake shoes in line(which was fused to the old disc) not pull though the metal that it's attached through, just for future ref. Here they are on anyway:  Dance Banana Dance! Ta. Matt.
  3. 1991 UK TT in Red, 78000 miles. No rust, most reliable car I've ever had. Luvittobits!
  4. Thanks Chaps - I've been away for a couple of weeks so haven't seen the replies. Jeff's had a look and yep - it's the front seal on the diff. Srry to sound like a real novice - which I am, but where do you fill it up?
  5. Hey ! I started the thread, so I reckon that's worth the price of an induction kit and a 99 spec front end! :D You'd get nothin' without me - NOTHIN'! :D
  6. Had a look this morning, and the fluid is like clean, cold engine oil, light brown and quite thick. Any further ideas chaps/ chapesses?
  7. Nooo, not yet. Done a search on this forum and wonder if it's a leak from the diff. Am off to Zedworld on Weds anyway, so will give Jeff a heads up on it. If it is a seal or something, anyone know if it's cheap (ish) to do?
  8. I have a leak of some sort - too dark now to look closely. But it is about 3/4 the way back of the car, right in the middle. Any ideas?
  9. Due to the impending onset of old age, I'm 30 in October, my other half has agreed to buy me a larger present than usual (this year it'd better not be a hairdryer ??!?!?!?). Now I'm not sure whether to get a 99 spec front end, an induction kit, a big feck off rear spoiler, or some ice. On the subject of ice, I'd want an amp that could drive a good set of components at the front, probably little uns at the back, then one, possibly 2 subs in the future. I've found this amp: http://www.cel-direct.com/shop1.asp?s_page=http://www.cel-direct.com/detail.asp?ProductID=2374# Is that asking a bit much for this amp? I'm not into seismic bass, just enough to scare the occasional pensioner. Or am I better off driving the front and rears via my head unit, rated at 22Wx4 DIN, then spending the money on a better sub amp. Now onto subs, I'm happy making my own enclosures, probably one either side of the boot extending below the level of the carpet, leaving room for targas. Anyone got any recommendations on drivers, bit of a novice here I'm afraid. Size, make, model recommendations please?
  10. Addictive, but I spend about 3 months on this one 3 years ago... http://www.gamegurl.com/CursorRally/ It'll kill you.

Snot fair, gimme easy money NOW.
  19. Well here's mine anyway... Not that many, but see how we get on. Cars: - Merc SLK32AMG - Merc CLK Class coupe avantgarde - BMW X5 (UGH!) (x2) Tyres: - Michelin Pilot Sport 225/40 18 for Audi TT. (x2)

  21. Anyone saving those Optimax gamecards where you win a car if you match the car with the tyres? Want to compare cards? If, in the very remote possibility that we win, I'll split the sale price of the car to seriously mod my rather standard Zed. Anyone intersted I'll post them in a while.

  24. That's 2 all for agressive / non-agressive. Hmm. I've had a quick look through my copies of EVO I've got here at work and most seem to be agressive, but I suppose they would be for maximum breaking effect in a roadtest. Ah well, I may bung them on agressive to start and monitor the wear rate. Matt. GRR!
  25. Hi all. I've taken delivery of my 3g 20GR's and my Mintex 1144's. Now then, any ideas which way round to fit them? Agressive way round or not. Much difference in wear or performance? Cheers, Matt.
