Nope, but before I sell it I want it to be 10/10 out of this world. It's pretty close to that now. Paintwork doesn't even have a single scratch or stone chip, Alloys are totally free from any marks, Interior is spotless. Just a slight bit of padding on the seats to make them look even more professions and I'm all done.

This is not a for sale thread - I'll put that in the for sale section at a later stage. I've not driven my 300zx now for 3 years. I've only owned it for 5 years and in that time I've spent over £50k on it. I'm just so frustrated now as I've tried everything I can to get the car back from the mechanic but every deadline I have given has been missed. The ones that were quite important to me were: Summer 2006 - missed. Christmas 2006 - missed. My wedding Jul 2007 - missed. Birth of my little daughter Oct 2007 - missed. I was originally quoted 3 weeks, to have the engine reassembled and put back into the car. No fabrication or parts were required that I didn’t already supply. After 22 months I still haven’t got the car back although I have been promised so many times "it will be ready by this weekend" or "I just have a few more bits to do on it" etc. etc. So I'm at a stage now where I have to take legal action. I really didn’t want it to get to this stage but I have no other choice. As I'm not getting any communication back from him regarding the final deadlines I have given (weekend just passed was the final cut off point). So for me the 300zx is no longer fun. It's become one huge pain in the butt. The amount of man hours I have spent on that car is huge, everything on the car I have done myself apart form the body kit and paint. So once I do get it back eventually, I'll be forced to sell. I really wanted to drive it around so badly just one more time but now with my 6 week old daughter I don’t think that's going to happen either. I know that if I do get it back and start driving it again I will fall back in love with the car that I built and it will be even harder for me to let go of it. In terms of material things, I have been more passionate about this car than anything else I have every owned. It was not only my ride, but my hobby and pride & joy. I've had a lot of fun driving it and doing it up from scratch and I want to thank the people that I've met along the way. You are all a great bunch and I've had the most fun when I've been driving with you guys. I still watch the old video's I used to make of things like the Brighton meet, the SE rolling road day, Trax, the essex meets and of course Billing. Maybe I'll host these up somewhere in the near future just to show the new guys how we used to do things, and also to remind the old guys of the good times. Really breaks my heart and I just wanted to share it with the people I've know on this forum for the last 5 years, I'm going to miss the 300zx scene a great deal and I'm hoping the new owner of my pride and joy has as much passion as I have about "Silver Streak" (my car's name).

You have to remember that the majority of the long time members know shit loads about the Zed. So rather than come here for information, they come here to give information. Most people that have owned a zed for 2 years or more, have probably taken thier engine out at some stage and put it back together themselves. So it's not a question of paying the subs to get advice for them.

The kits on E-bay are usually leatherette, rather than leather. The Zcenter kit is made by Katzkins in USA. Very good quality leather, I ordered an additional hide to do the boot. Fit it yourself and save loads of money. Once my car is back I will be redoing the seats and padding them out with a little extra foam to make them look spot on.

I set this up 2 days ago. Thought I'd just try with the normal connection first rather than HD. Wasn't overally impressed. So I decided to try it with HD on my 46" plasma. Changed the settings to 1080i. Fook me !!! now that's what I'm talking about. Got a good package deal with the Xbox 360: Premium Console Halo 3 PES 8 Tomb Raider C&C 3 Fazar 2 (called something like that car racing game) 2 wireless controllers. £279 :D Graphics on Halo 3 are very good indeed, but I'm not into that sort of game. Favorites so far are PES and Fazar. Anyone reccomend any gooden's. I need something for the missus. She seems to play the games you actually get loaded onto the 360 rather than the ones on CD lol. I'm on X-box live now but not too sure how I find other players on it. Anyone want to be my XBOX friend (dam how nerdy did that sound lol). ? I my login for Xbox live is "Pinnacle1974"

Thanks fo the feed back guys. I already have an X-box. Do the old X-box controllers fit the new 360 ?. also do the old X-box games work on the 360 ?. If so I may just go with the 360 purely for that reason, plus it's cheaper than the ps3. I have a feeling that my wifes coat and boots will be a little more expensive than I previously imagined ! Ok so if I go for the 360, any reccomendations of where to buy (games also) ?. Or are they all pretty much the same place ?

Sold my Wii that I bought 2 months ago for almost double the price I bought it :). Supply and Demand is nice at christmas. Wifey gets a new coat and boots and I get either an Xbox 360 or PS3. Can't decided between the two so need some help. Pro's and Con's of the two of them. Can anyone give me some feedback ?

I know it's an old thread but I thought I'd reaply here anyway. Just picked up a late 99 523i se with m5 wheels. 90k on the clock with FSH and tax MOT for another 11 months. Looks like the 300 + 5 series is becoming a trend :)

I don't think it would matter what car it was tbh. It's a short on the circuit and if your alarm activates the indicators when you arm and disarm it then this is the first thing that needs to be checked.

Either way the speakers are attached. The grills are attached to the door panel front behind, so if you try and get it off from the front without taking the panel off you are going to damage the panel.

I hope it wasn't Bounty kitchen roll, Not sure if the tubs can shred that !! ;) On all seriousness, all the best mate, I'm sure it won't have done any damage but it's gonna be a pain in the butt takeing all the pipe work off. It may be worth bying a long claw. You know the long spring type ones, that way you can try feed it up from the ends of the pipes to see if you can feel any blockages there. If you can you may be able to claw it out.

Yep one foot out of the bed on the floor does thr trick most of the time for me, but then theres times were it's gone past the point of help and you're fooked :)
