No Power and lumpy
Yeah I will definately be building a drip tray. The flower pot idea was only to prevent the filters sucking in water from the front bumper. However I think the problem lies with the water entering from the top.

No Power and lumpy
It was our 1st year anniversay yesterday. It was the first time that myself and the wife woul dhave gone out in the Z wthout our daughter. Parents were looking after her, so we go tready to go out and got in the Z. A little lumpy at start up, then no power what so ever, constantly hunting, stalling and coughing. We got about 100 meters before we limped back and swaped for the beema. Checked this morning, same problem. Removed the rad bracket, slam pannel and headlight pannel. Disconnected the MAF plug, unbolted the apexi filter on the MAF side. Took out the MAF. Noticed there was a few tiny drops of water inside the apexi air filter. Heated the oven to 200c for 10 mins. Turned it off and put the air filter in ther for 10 mins. Cleaned the MAF with Carb cleaner and let it dry (I know you shouldn't really use carb cleaner but didn't have anything else and it was covered in dust). Assebmled everything back together after cleaning the surrounding areas. Also found that one of my BOVS has the needle pin disconnected and hanging down, which I think it the cause of my compressor stall. Started her up. Bang on the money, took for a test drive no problems at all. Just need to find a way now to stop the rain getting the MAF wet, which eaithe rmeans covering some of my vents on the bonnet / headlight pannel, or making a few drip trays.

I got a reply back. -------------------- Sorry about that. The infraction was an error on my part and I removed it. Your profile is good now also. We (the mod staff) have been issuing warnings to all members we come across with incomplete profiles and sending them warnings just as a FYI. It wasn't your post that got you a warning at all. Warnings are no points against you. Thanks for finishing up your profile.

300zxclub.com - warnings etc
Someone was asking about the gt600r turbo's and whether or not they should get them. I was looking at these before I decided to get the jwt530bb's. So I posted. "I was thinking about the gt600r's but after a lot of investigation and reviews I decided to go with the JWT530bb's. I'm using GD Downpipes and manifolds along with flexi pipes. I've aslo swapped out the actuators for HKS. They spool up the same as stock if not quicker and really feel great to drive. Only problem is I'm getting a little compressor stall, but adjusting the BOVS should sort this out." Makes me laugh cause I've been a member on there since Feb 2003 and I've never had a warning for not having my profile up to date.

Anyone near fancy lending me a hand?
Hi Jimmy, I'm not having the sam problems as you. The problem I had which I only discovered at the RR is that adjustable FPR has not been set up yet so I'm running really lean (as you can see by my dynograph). I also had a running in chip which I got from Andy P however mine is an original Ash Spec Stage 7 for Doolz twin pop and 555's. I have a feeling this chip that I have is only mapped to about 12 - 14 psi. Whih is the reason I didn't take it any higher on the RR. I'm just waiting for JD to get back to me about mapping mine. Hopefully he will be able to squeeze me in in the near future as I'm fully run in and want to see what the car can do. Do you not have anyone near you with a Conzult. We hecked mine over at the RR but apart form the TPS being a little high, everything else was spot on.

900hp 300zx Vs tuned E46 M3 and 700 Porche 996
American HP is not really different from ours. HP is HP where ever you meassure it. The only thing that makes people think that thier HP in the States is over estimated is that the best fuel they can get is 95 ron, so when they go to the dyno to measure thier HP, they run on Race fuel. Therefore a standard Z on Race fuel in the states compared to a standard Z over here on Shell V power is always going to produce a little more HP than we would expect from the same car here. But I have to say the majority do like the higest numbers over there so when talking about HP they are usually reffering to Flywheel rather than RW. Where as over here we are only interested to what you can get down on the road i.e. RWHP. ** I can already feel a flamer coming on from the big HP guys over here lol.

What a result
No because that would make your car appear newer than it is :). You can have GI 2 FST or anything before G.

What a result
D5 SMW. I think that set me back £550. Name is Stuart Marc Waterman. I have BIG 7776 on my 5 series, that came with the car. I think I may sell it if anyone is interested :)

Metal Cleaner
That's guys. Meguiars was the one mentioned to me that I could not remember, but I'll try autosol. The exhaust tips are fine, they are chrome with chrome back boxes so the soot just wipes off with a sponge and water. It was more for the engine bay.

Metal Cleaner
I can't remember the name of the metal cleaner that people suggested to repolish my somewhat dull blingy bits. It was mingings, mermets or muggings or something like that but been thinking for a good hour or so now and I just can;t remember the name of it. Anyone help out ?
