If you decat it will reduce the back preassue, allowing the turbo's to spool up quicker. Some say that this also speeds up the rear turbo seal damage, maybe becuase the seals are less preasurised. What do you want to know about decatting ?

The front grills look like 6x9 but they will be about 6", if they are still standard then you are looking at 5.5". You can fit any speaker up to 6.5" in the fronts without modification, Or you can put 6x9's in the front by cutting the frame and welding a new bracket on. Custom boxes are so easy to make. You just need MDF, jigsaw, sander & a drill and you are all done. I've made a corner box previously for 2 10" subs which I will be giving to James300. But my latest project involves fibre glass and complete dynamatting of the entire rear of the car. I would offer to build you a box, but I've already committed myself to 3 sets of rear brackets for 6x9's and a few other bits and what with the new arrival, I really don't have any more time.

Sure thing James :D SMW1 will be going into PPS on the 16th June for a full body kit and respray that will put SMW2 back in it's place :D It will be out the weekend before billing, then after Billing it goes into SE for Valve work and top end rebuild. Shortly after that it's time to fit my SBC-iD :D.

Because SMW2 is Cerina's car once she sells here BMW. So expect to see her posting online in the weeks ahead.

The car has the following in it. Anyone know where I can find instructions on how these work ? Air Fuel Ratio Controller Some sort of A/F data logger (not this exact type but has the same buttons on it). I think this is some kind of shift indicator.

The car also have some goodies on it..... Veilside mirrors I think this is a HKS Dragon but can't find a stamp. Blitz SUS by the look of it, I'll have to take it off and find the stamp to confirm. Glow in the dark center panel Air/Fuel controller and a Razor thing, not a clue what this is. HKS Adjustable shocks all round. Anothe little razo thing, linked to the main box.

This 300zx is a Jap 2+0 Manual NA. The kit on the car is made by a company called Evolution, I have looked but I can't find anything like it on the net.

Bad news about the center section mate, I asked them to keep it in one piece. Which they did. They were moaning that it would be so much easier to remove it they cut it. But I instisted. Anyway to cut a long story short, once it was off, it very rusty and to be honest well on it's way out, so I left it there. I went for a 3" pipe all the way through with no silencers. Then from the back box I wanted 2 x 4" pipes either side. However while I was wasting my life trying to find something to do for 4 hours in Croydon, the fitter put 2 x 3" either side. So say I made a fuss was an understatement, but I left there with the 3" quad tail pipes and £200 knocked off my bill so I was happy.

Well, I got a new zorst yesterday, Didn't touch the decat pipes as they were in good condition. However my car has now started to smoke a little at idle. Now personally I put this down to a slight leak in a few of my cylinders due to inlet valves. But the smoke stops after a small rev to clear the crapp out !. I missed th GB on the hose and PCV valves but will be going down this road in the near future. Give it a shot Paul, I don't think it's your turbo's mate, it would usually show in your performance (oh-er). And your car was pulling just as good when we forced the GT4 to move over at 130mph, then shot off into the distance at 145mph+ (private test track of course officer ;) ) LOL.
