  2. See now if you had wired the ABS wheel sensors up correctly in the first place then you wouldn't have had that problem LMAO !!! ;) Glad you got it sorted mate. I can't remember if you have launch or not but if you do then I would set that at about 2k rpm until you fit eagle F1's LOL. In the wet setting are you getting any slip when you boot it in a straight line ?

  7. Let have another poll. :dance: Estimated BHP: For those that did the SE RR and have not modified their car since, use that figure. If you have modified you car since then have a guess (a sensible one) as to what BHP (flywheel) you are now running. For those of you that have stated over 450BHP :bow:. We want to know what you have and how you got there. So we can learn from you :D. If your car is currently being worked on to improve this figure, please vote on what you are realistically hoping to achieve when the work is finished. I got 334 at the fly with 9psi, I'm now running 15psi so I think this should take me to just over the 400 mark ?. Anyone disagree :confussed: ?

  9. Orange lights are warnings. Red lights are danger signs. If it's red and you ignore it you are breaking something. Top it up mate until the light goes out. then all your winning will stop.
  10. Mine is also oval shaped (can;t really tell that from the picture though). The only problem with a grommet is that the bracket that holds the bar sticks up further than the moulding, so a grommet would have be be raised in to cater for this. A gaitor would have to be stiched while attached to the bar, unless you were going to remove it again :dance: The grommet would need a slit in it to go around the bar, again unless you were going to remove it. I will probably Have a play around with some Vinyl this week to see if I can get a good gaitor inplace. That's if I can find my needlework kit LMAO !!.
  11. Is it the same one as this peter ? I was thinking of making the whole nice and circular and them fitting a grommet of some sort over it, but I may just make a mini gear stick boot from vinyl for each side. Still haven't done anything yet but I'm thinking about it. ;)
  12. I also just want to say. Well Done and Good luck to those who own and are building 500+BHP cars :bow: I think this is what the club needs. A few monsters to show the other cars what the 300zx has to say :D. Hopefully we will see some of them ready for the GTO showdown.
  13. :rofl: this thread is a very amusing and interesting read. To be honest, for those of you that are getting forged pistons, then fair game this is the way to go. Obviously this is the less risk option because the forged pistons are much stronger than the stock pistons no one can argue that. I'll leave the big engine builds to you guys, because I'm happy with my 400ish bhp (well I hope it's near that mark, well find out at Thor). I'm currently talking to a few guys in the states, one of them is trying to tell me that 650RWHP on Stock pistons is the max which is a little under 750HP. Whether you guys believe that or not (not sure I do but more research and proof - i.e. engines still ok running that BHP after a year - is still being collected). I know I'm not going to get 600BHP form bolt on tub's and improved cooling and fuelling, obviously there's much more to it than that, and I'm sure that if I do need to open up the block then yes I may as well change the pistons, but until I do need to open the block, there are staying in there. You never know this time next year I may just sell up and buy and R34 Vspec ;). :dance:
