If you fancy playing paintball check this thread out http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=66175 Reason for bumping in general is that I need to get nubmers ASAP for it to go ahead.

Paintball - 2 April 2006
Would anyone be interested in a paintball day on Sunday 2nd April? I know it's not car related but I think it's something different and a good chance to have a laugh and release some of that built up fustration. If you are interest please let me know in this thread. --------------------------- **Edit** A little more info i.e. prices etc. Location Address: Mayhem Paintball Pryors Farm Patch Park Abridge Essex RM4 1AA Prices £18 for the day, which includes gun hire, overalls etc. Paintballs are 6p per ball or 5p per ball if bought in boxes of 2000 (I recommend buying a box between 4 rather than going solo). If we get 20 people the initial charge is reduced to £15 each Also if you know you can definitely make it and you want to save another £10. I will arrange it that you can phone them in advance and give them my reference and you can pay a prepackage price of £55 which includes the day, rental and 1000 paintballs. Once I get the numbers I'll set this up. Check out the website for any other info you may need. http://www.mayhem-paintball.co.uk

Limited Slip Diff
I'm still around mate, just lying low for a bit and easing myself back in gently :x: . Yeah, the diff on the SWB was a tommei diff, it was great but the only problem is that it tends to click when you are turning corners at a slow speed in normal driving. Due to this is was a little too annoying so I swapped it out for a stock one. I still have the tommei diff, so if anyone want it drop me a PM and make me an offer.

A 2000 mile Clutch ?
I decided to go for it on this one. I will be picking the car up today and paying for the new clutch. I will also be collecting the old clutch form them and then after I have paid I will be handing them a "Payment in Dispute" Letter which apparently means, I am paying to get my propety back only and I intend to push for full compensation if when examined by an independant garage, they find a fault in the way the clutch had been fitted or a problem in one of the components that the garage supplied and fitted.

A 2000 mile Clutch ?
Latest update. Glyn Hopkins of Nissan (Romford) phoned me today to tell me that the clutch plate had been burnt out. So looks like it is down to wear and tear after all. I still can’t believe that this clutch can be fooked after only 2000 miles of my missus driving it. However, thinking about it, it has been 2000 miles of driving to work each day in heavy traffic. Maybe this is the reason the clutch is burnt out . But as it goes, it doesn't look like we have a leg to stand on. Also seems like the Nissan dealers in Romford have no idea when it comes to technical mechanics. The guy was telling me that the clutch is hydraulic which I know if correct but he was also saying that there is no way to adjust it. I enlightened him by telling him that the clutch pedal could be adjusted to change the biting point position on the pedal, but he was pretty much calling me a liar. Long story short looks like I have to pay for a new clutch every 2000 miles or the missus has to get rid of the car and buy another one which she can use to drive to work (no chance of her taking the train after what she has been through on the 7th  ). Anyway, thanks for all your advice guys, and I hope to catch up with you all again soon. Have a great time at Billing and enjoy the sun.

A 2000 mile Clutch ?
hi guys, thanks for the responses. The garage has phoned me to tell me they have sent the clutch back to Nissan for testing. I asked if the was excessive wear on the clutch plate and he reply no hardly any wear at all. Apparently it seems fine when cold but slips when hot. He also mentioned that the flywheel was blue, I guess this is heatsink. So if the clutch plate is not warn, am I right in thinking that there is no way the can blame Cerina forr harsh driving ?. What else could a "bad" driver do to the clutch in 2000 miles that would voidd the warrenty ?. MTL, We'll have to catch up soon mate and I'll grab the compressor off you if you are finished with it. Paul, Hope everything is well with you mate, I think I may come Billing just for a day, when is it again :D. give me a shout if you are in the area and we'll catch up.

A 2000 mile Clutch ?
Hi Guys, I hope you are all well. I have a bit of a problem. 2000 miles ago the clutch went on Cerina's 300zx NA SWB. apparently it was pretty messed up. The Slave and Master had to be replaces as well as the clutch and the pivot ball. Recently Cerina has been driving her car in to work (Kengsington). She has to call the RAC as the clutch started slipping i all gear. The clutch possibly got too hot but I've never seen or heard of this before. We got the car transported back to te garage where the clutch was fitted as we know they said that it had a years warrently. The garage are now saying that they have pulled the box and checked the cclutch and it is fine, so they have sent it away to Nissan to be checked. In the meantime they say I have to pay for a new clutch plus all the labour becuse the old clutch will be away for up to 5 weeks. If the clutch comes back from Nissan and they say there is nothing wrong with it, I will have had to have paid for another clutch plus labour an have 2 clutches. They are trying to blame the clutch on the driver. Could it possibly have been fitted correctly or something ?, it seems to me that they are trying to get out of covering the clutch under warrently. I have used this garage for over 5 years. I wil not be using them again.

That's if you can get off your Lazy butt and actually start on it :headvswal I fell for you James. But I know that reason the wheel painter are taking so long.... I'm back and need help.....
...... getting motivated. I haven't even started rebuilding my engine yet. It's completely stripped down and has been bored to fit my weisco's, the botom end has been balanced, the crank has been lapped and the block has been skimmed and painted, but I haven't touched it now for about 3 - 4 months. I think the truth is that I'm scared :o LMAO !!! However I intend to get my motivation back for my Z as it's been out of action for a year now. If anyone has any top tips or various checks that are not in the manual etc. I would be very greatful if you could post them below :). Hope everyone is well and I look forward to see you all soon :nana2: . Regards,

Hangman's Hill
Yeah been there in my younger days. If you a pi$$ed passenger you'd be amazed but it's pretty obvious that you are actually on a downhill slope so not really that impressive. Only problem with that area is that its a very well know crack ed spot.
