  1. I never used to bother locking mine... LOL
  2. Maybe its just me, I just wouldnt feel comfortable I dont think selling it and making a profit of someone else' circumstances. Perhaps unnatural! Perhaps im just old fashioned and have the idea that "I will loose every penny i put into a car and some" LOL which is what has happened on every car i've ever had!
  3. congrats on the sale mate, i had to sell mine for alot less than i originally wanted as well before xmas! End of the day, its only money!
  4. Okay maybe i should rephrase that to adding 3k to the purchase value, especially just a few weeks after you bought it. Circumstances or not which ever angle you play it, it doesnt look good. I suppose if anything i feel sorry for the guy you bought it from, as he's the one thats loosing out, if it really is worth £4800. Come off the idea of what it owes you, hell if we all tried to sell cars for what they owed us no one would ever sell anything! Hell id have been looking for 10k for an elderly tired 92 tt before christmas lol. Fact of the matter is it appears that you paid 1800, and a few weeks later your trying to sell for 4800, surely you cant say that looks good?
  5. Its a fair point! It is a very unusual design on the 300zx, i rather liked it I must admit... much less effort than having to reach all the way to the centre of the car to adjust the climate control in the BM!
  6. Genuine questions asked, shouldnt be out trying to add 3k to a cars value! I know i wouldnt get 3 times what i paid for mine, even if I did spend a grand on it (which i just have) :s
  7. blimey! Seems to have appreciated a bit over the last few months!
  8. awesome thanks mate! I dont think they are particularly dear, ive seen a price of about £10 for the assembly, but i'll certainly let you know if it needs a fresh one!
  9. sweet cheers mate, your a legend... were even now LOL. I'll tell her to top it up to the max line, if not ive looked into replacing the coolant expansion bottle, or the sensor in there (cant buy it on its own) seems to be the common fix to cure the issue. To be honest i think it will be the sensor but worth just checking the level. Wouldnt normally be a problem but im miles away from the car so cant even look at it!
  10. cool, tap water okay or does it need to be distilled? (tbh come to think of it iv never actually put water in a car! Amazingly never needed to!)
  11. this is on a 1.6 16v model, that still apply, i assume there will be fill marks. If i get her to boil a kettle and then let the water cool that'll do wont it?
  12. To be fair, its not like the 300zx's dash is a masterpiece... the pods are just nailed on by the side of the steering wheel, to the stage where people have asked me if they were aftermarket LOL Dont get me wrong i love 300zx;s and will have another one day but if i had 60k i know what id be choosing!
  13. Does anyone have a mk4 golf... and if so do they have their owners handbook anywhere? Could just do with an underbonnet shot from one, or if anyone knows where do I put water (or tell my lass where to put water) in one, straight into the rad? Or is there an expansion tank that your ment to pour it into. If anyone can give me a rundown as to where everything is so i can help her over the phone tonight i would most appreciate it!
  14. Nice looking car mate, has TT front bumper for some reason? You sure you bought an NA? LOL
  15. im just still smarting from what i paid for mine, what i spent on it and what i sold it for lol 2.5k sounds a bargain!
  16. hard to say at the moment i suppose, depends if you need another zed and want an economical one, has it done mega miles? Any mods? What year?
  17. thats about right on lpg, sounds good! Worth having for a goosey gander at the very least!
  18. I miss my zed but i'll have another one sometime and i've learnt alot from the ownership of that one to know exactly what i want next time. I also miss my bmw 323i, was a brilliant car, second car i had @ 18 and felt rapid, sounded fantastic as well. Only had 57k on the clock when i bought it, as with all my cars, sold it for far too little. (I traded it in for my 300zx)
  19. I would also say clutch, although could be an oil leak onto the clutch causing excessive wear/slippage but most likely a broken engagement spring or worn friction plate.
  20. Nope had it converted to a manual at vast cost, 6 months before i sold it :( Had a fantastic box on it! Its' okay, i will be back in a zed at sompoint, i keep thinking about it all the time im driving... which is alot at the moment, as much as I love the M3 its just not got any soul or pasion, just doesnt feel as special/silly as the 300zx did. Just somthing very satisfying about driving about in 300zx, everytime i see one on the motorway on my travels i just think "lucky git".
  21. I only got £1570 for mine, which there was nothing wrong with!
  22. Your all such comidians!
  23. lol that video is awesome, not seen it for ages! The one when they try and kill a honda civic is equally good. Nice new car! not my sort of thing but great for the missus i suppose! Keep trying to pursuade my lass into some sort of convertible but shes so far resisting!
  24. Half 3 or 4 oclock maybe? Saw a 300zx that had had a tyre changed, just pulling of the hard shoulder, two fellas in it. Looked tidy enough apart from the space saver on the front :)
