it will cause the engine to tick over at 25 degree timing instead of 15 degree, so induce a slightly higher idle speed. When mine was converted it was done without the neutral switch and so always idled a bit high. Might also affect the cruise control, although too tired to think that one through.

to be fair.... would do you a favor trying to sell it! Certainly move the sale along faster if the insurance were paying out for it LOL

Aye well i know some people were a bit disapointed with their results... The pricing was roughly as follows: 10-15 cars £35 per person 15+ cars £30 per person or thats what we paid anyway. Not sure if you looked at the report but we had some varied hardware there: M3 Evo Mitsi Evo 6 Mr2 Turbo (broken!) Lotus Esprit V8 TT (very nice!) clio trophy etc etc So they can cope with interesting stuff, the garage runs a racing team and is a well recognised poobaru upgrade centre.

lol aye, 296 up to 328... BUT have a few theories, car was revved properly at teg sport (wasnt at neston) and id adjusted the throttlec able and taken a load of slakc out of it and given it a good kicking before it ran, apparently important on evos as they learn on the fly, so if you crawl abou it goes into an eco mode for fuel economy or somthing.

how cheaps cheap... these days you can buy a brand new system for around £130 from places like aria/ebuyer etc but it'll have no OS (or linux at best) do you have a copy of windows? Failing that i've got a 1200 duron that i might be able to sell, actually my sisters but she no longer uses it.

lol i remember getting mine back from having it converted it was awesome... Came off the motorway near m home and was like ahhh shit theres gonna be somthing different now but my brain couldnt think what it was. Managed to make my leg work but grumbled all around the slip road in 5th thinking whys it not changing on its own... LOL Such a difference to the car though, makes a great car even better!

They are smashing an evo 7 to bits as well so i wouldnt worry too much... To be fair, its about time they used one and people arnt stupid, the 6 series they useda few series ago isnt a bad car, just hammond bought one that only ran on 5 cylinders! Same with the old porsches, i had a look just the other day to see if i could find anything like they had for the same money and i couldnt, so theyve gone up in value. raising awareness of the car cant be a bad thing can it :) Besides it'll be good to watch!

Many years ago a local BMW dealer called on my dad to tow a vehicle in for them using his at the time almost brand new 740i, It was a very odd request from the dealership, im not even sure what they wanted towing, i think it was another 7. For some reason they didnt have anything powerful enough to tow it and there were no other tow vehicle options in the local area. That had to be towed at about 20mph for only a few miles between stopping to let the gearbox oil cool.
