  1. Thats good point actualyl! I didnt notice it was a shortie haha On closer inspection it is defo slicktop as well. I quite like the colour... was the best part of it for me!
  2. Wel not as such, i've just had my car converted to a manual. As i dropped the car off the guys there asked me if i had got a starter motor, as they claimed the auto one didnt fit a manual box... So i started ringing around and asking some people, and after a bit of working out i realised that the starter is the same, but since the box size changes and so does the flywheel, when you have an NA box in a TT with a TT flywheel the starter is then too close to the flywheel and has to be moved out with a bracket or washers etc. But, second hand starters can be foudn regularly on the forum for little money, put a wanted post up. Flywheels, well i notice your from germany, dont know about prices over there. But my new TT flywheel and clutch came from america and that was an awesome deal... I.e equivilent kit over here was a good £700+ where as delivered to my door, after the import tax was about £260 for a lightened flywheel and stage 2 clutch, good for 400bhp ish and 400 lb/ft of torque
  3. Ha.. right okay dokey, those two for tomorrow then Yeah i remember you mentioning that pete, similar to mine then. I'll leave it, doesnt make much difference really i suppose, i'll give it a try somtime i think
  4. No visable fluid leaks, so i dont think its anything critical. I'll keep an ear out for it and try and work it out. Ive got another rear faffy one as well... And im being really anal here BUT my electric arial used to go up when on radio, and down when the stereo was of OR on CD... now if the stereo is one at all (radio or CD) the arial is up.... Anyone know why?? LOL And also... last one i promise, the small rectangular "notification lights" in the bottom left of the dash ("Lights", Cruise Control etc) now do not work... Any ideas again? Again extreme analism coming through lol Pic of the results below ;)
  5. Yeah there is. Not an original one tho, it was a substitute
  6. No problem :) I had to find all this out just a week or so ago!
  7. Ah ha. Awesome, okay mate i'll look at doing this then. But your correct, good shout timing at 25 BTDC, manually knocked it back to 15 with conzult, and it sounded as it used to... So there in lies that problem, anyone any idea about the water dripping and rapidly evaporating/air leak noise? Do we think boost leak or anything to do with the clutch booster?
  8. lol okay, is connecting that switch an easy job? Yeah i realise its not a massive issue, just somthing i'll try and fix, then break somthing else and give up on! lol
  9. i have both ;) Okay dude, just trying to get some juice into the old lappy... If it is at 25*, then how do i fix that?
  10. You know i was just thinking about that, is that also linked to a switch on the clutch pedal? Because it does sound a little differnt on tick over... I think that must be it mate. How hard is that to check my self?
  11. I have just got my car back form being converted to a manual... But couple of tiny niggles. One of which is the idle is slightly high, say 1300 rpm (as an auto it was good as gold about 750 to 800rpm all the time) It also seems to rev a little when started. Now im just charging my laptop to go check the TPS but is there anything else it could be... one thought that popped into my mind is that its now got a lightened flywheel, could this have affected it and its simply a case of the car needing to relearn whats needed to tickover (because i have to say from when i picked it up this morning to now its got better through the day...) Also after acceleration as im lifting of the throttle, just before the dump valves operate there is a little noise, sounds like water dripping on somthing hot BUT that also sounds like a bit of an air leak/boost leak. Sounds from drivers side towards the rear of the engine, easily audiable from the drivers seat, anyone know what that might be? Cheers guys!
  12. Hell your telling me that! I have it back at home now and what a difference, cant believe its the same car Got a couple of tiny niggles, but i can sort those my self. Over all C&S have done me very proud! I would firmly recommend them to anyone, very professional and efficient place going above and beyond requirements. So Big thumbs up there...!
  13. lol but im already bidding :( awww
  14. The starter is the same on every model... However flywheels are different on the TT and NA (due to the gearbox being differnt) So starter can be from anything (auto manual NA TT etc) but the flywheel has to be from a manual NA :)
  15. Thats true - very good point!
  16. Aye just seen that! lol Exactly... these people without a real 300zx... if it doesnt fail every few miles and belch smoke then its a not a fake Zee.... its a turbo Zee! Seeing as i was bursting for attention in another thread and not one of you miserable suckers has replied to it im going to express my excitment here instead!... I PICK UP MY MANUAL (converted!!) ZED IN 9 HOURS!!!!!!!!! Complete with fresh MOT (from yesterday) and Fresh insurance from this wednesday, ive a year of motoring from it again.... wahoo :D:D
  17. I disagree, no mention of it being a TT model in any of the advert. Also no boost guage under the speedo Also its a real poverty spec as well with its manual air conditioning!
  18. and an NA engine ;) lol and no Hi-Cas and no Cruise Almost looks bare under there!
  19. I cant hold it in any longer. Im child like a child at xmas. I will be in my newly manual converted TT tomorrow for the first time, infact in about 12 hours wahoo! I'll never be able to sleep tonight i know it! So excited! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
  20. Indeed so... and why oh why does it have the back suspender from a canvas'd safari truck on the boot lid... Could hang material from that to make it a Z32 Jungle edition!
  21. Why... Oh why! Does this have a turbo timer... lol Apologies if this is anyones on here but thats just very pointless! CLicky
  22. My Zed, bless its little cotton socks, has been away for a week being converted to a manual and having its MOT So i called C&S Wood today to hear that it was all ready to go, MOT passed, oil changed and ready to collect on saturday...
