Rear Brake Disks
you have the R34 calipers all around? I would be looking for £1k for the 4 calipers + disks + pads id have thought. I'll be honest i cant afford that. I already have smithys big brake kit on the front. Wasnt really looking to change the rear calipers unless someone can find me some cheap ;)

Fix or break??
I would investigate further, would be a terrific shame to break ANOTHER 300zx, for the sake of something minor. Obviously if its HG its a big job which is fair enough and then its your call. could be somthing very minor... You vulchers get away!

Rear Brake Disks
Rear disks are about shot at on my car. Badly pock marked/scarred and quite worn so im thinking of replacing them. Whats the best to go for, still using standard rear calipers. Ive not an unlimited budget, but i dont mind spending the money if its worth it. This is inline with a brake system overall, rebuilt calipers, new front disks and pads, and new rear pads at least and braided brake lines all round. So i need advice on the best Rear Disks + Pads to go for. I was thinking new standard disks and mintex pads, seem to be available for about £25 for the rear? Or should i not bother and find something better. Cheers Guys!

What would you go for?
hehe sorry mate. More my choices, depends what you want to spend. To be honest, for a quick saloon for good money the E39 540i can be picked up easily for 6k if you dont mind an auto (i mean a nice sport with pretty alloys and reasonable miles) Youve got a car that will do 0-60 in 6.1 seconds and return 30mpg on the mway. Comfortable and quiet and doesnt ever go wrong... The E39 has been regarded as about the best car ever made world wide... V8's lack the feel in the corners due to their indirect steering and weight, 530i sport by far the best handling/performance other than the M5 but the 540i has got some grunt. Depends what you want, quick but sensible, or really quick and daft? :D

What would you go for?
I would ward away from the 8 series, unless you go for an 850csi, i love the 8's dearly but my god they are hard to work do anything with and the 24v v12 is just heavier with very similar output to the 4.0 and later 4.4 (ci badged cars) however the csi is the M sport version and is 48v and develops some 380bhp and comes with a proper gearbox. As some alternatives - Vauxhall Monaro what a monster BMW M5 the e39 @400bhp can be bought for well within your budget LOtus Esprit? Legend has it that mercedes made some quick stuff at some point... :s lol Nobles perhaps?? Just out of the price bracket but definatly worth tihnking about!!!

Bay Flooring Ltd is alive
Mike, Good luck with this... As for vans i can highly recommend 1.9 CDTI vauxhall Vivaro, they are a fast van (i had 115mph on the clock on track;) out of mine!) , good on diesel and drive very well. I put 20k on one over the period of a few months and i'll be honest it never got so much as an oil change. Comfortable and no effort to drive, 300 miles in one sitting wasnt an issue! Nissan Primastar and Renault Traffic are exactly the same - all come from the same factory and all similar engines so take your pick... :)

On the way to fetch some wheel off me, mate did this!
I wouldnt be suprised if that still drives actually, probably not well but its not as bad as i thought, nasty smash but i thought it had taken the rear left wheel clean off. Once again, a real shame!

On the way to fetch some wheel off me, mate did this!
My first RWD car was my second car, a BMW 323i luckily it had traction control which helped alot, however I learnt the hard way when in a fit of stupidity i turned the TC off drove into asda car park and thought i could drift around the bottom corner, on a particularly cold and greasy night... took a real nasty chunk out of alloy and an equally large chip out of the curb! I hit it with such a bang that i thought i ripped the axel off! Tit that i am...!

Rise of the Footsoldier!
i'll be honest, i wasnt that impressed. I watched it my mates the other night and it was okay, but not much story behind it. I found it unessacerily awkward to follow but what it does show is just how much scum there is in this world! I felt more remorse for the rangerover than anything else, such a shame to spoil a nice thing like that.

Clutch Pedal Vacuum Parts
i bothered with mine ;) lol Or should i say Phil bothered with them! Although im not sure the assistance is working very well - defo a leak on it somewhere which means it isnt doing much so if it looks like hard work john id do as legrath says and leave it. Means you dont have to change the balance bar either!

Under steering wheel trim panel
Right ive had most of the interior trim out of my zed today. Trying to fix a few niggles, managed two but two more still elude me. Anywho, i noticed there is like an access panel on the trim panel underneath the steering wheel, about 2.5" deep and 4" wide it had two screws on the back of it but looked like it could be popped out for some piece of OEM equiptment to be fitted. Does anyone know what this is/was/should be for? Ive takent he screws out and popped the plastic off to shove my dam turbo timer through, PITA peice of kit, but it just seems to fit. Anyway, anyone know what this does?

Oil Leak help!!

p.a.s??!!
have you recently delimited the car? Speedo working okay? Recently chipped the car? TT or NA, Jap or UK? Manual/Auto? These cars have variable assistance on the power steering, so lighter at low speeds and heavier at higher, possible this system isnt working. Been talked about alot on here in the past - Search is a good place to look.

anyone know about unlocking blackberrys?
Surely if the phone has been lost, the owner will have reported it and had it banned from the network (IMEA number?), rendering it useless so they can get a replacement through their insurance?

Plasma telly accident
i would say because of the wii's controllers nasty habit of breaking apart and being launched through the big shiney 50" TV.... Or people letting go is a common one as well, line up for the winning bowl, and boom!

nice car for a wedding
http://www.weddingservices4u.co.uk/asp_Leics2/LeicsWeddingCarHire.asp Found this place - also an interesting one to look for is any local classic car museums. Most tend to hire out there more intersting stuff for events so they can earn revenue from them whilst they are not on display.
