  1. If its 10 deg out, just taken it of, turn it 10 degrees and put it back on LOL... Not rocket science... ALthough does it fit with the slip ring underneath (steering wheel angle sensor?) or not? Best thing to do would be to try and get someone with conzult near by to hook up to the car and set the angle so its straight and put the steering wheel back on... Thats what i did with mine, although mine wasnt off centre for long, it still is a few degrees out (according to conzult) but not enough to upset my hicas
  2. not a fan of the spoiler to be honest looks an afterthought... Isnt it that GTO active aero one?? However the graphics are neat enough, nicely done at least and its sure to be different!
  3. maybe a roll call for someone who is taking of a standard exhaust for the emergency "stop murts car braking even more than it already is" campain??
  4. mine had nippon slapped all over it, which suprised me to be honest! ALl over the seals and boxes when the set arrived, so no doubt about that. Mine must be an unballanced flywheel then if thats also been reported, oh well!
  5. Dam... Im sorry bud. Sounds like bad news. Hope you get it all sorted soon!
  6. I've never had it rolling roaded but it does have the usual, apexi filter, scorpian exhaust and mines chip... It feels quick, as quick as a zed ive been out in running at 15psi... so shes not so bad... Right my issue. let me paint a picture, say were doing 40 mph, and the car is in neutral, rolling shall we say, so the engine is idling. Now, when i engage third and start to engage the clutch it doesnt engage smoothly, i get a juddering which feels to me like a warped clutch plate or flywheel, not sure. it does do it in second and first, but not so much in 4th and 5th. Also, it does it the other way round say the car is on a flat level car park, i should be able to pull the clutch gently in at idle in 1st and the car should move away slowly, revs will drop fine but not "bang" or shudder, its weird. I could do with taking someone out in it, but its always done it since the conversion was carried out, just never investigated it really!
  7. why would you do that? All your doing is reducing the life of the turbos and slowing the car down? :s Do you know what the recircs are for? And why they are superior to a dump valve?
  8. again Decat...? 3rd time lucky ;) If it did die from a de-cat then were going to have to start a sticky thread entitled "what happens when i decat my 300zx on its original turbos" and links to all of the "my cars just started smoking" threads so people LEARN!
  9. I have that clutch and its fine with regards to slipping, doesnt slip at all and never has done. Although i do have a curious issue with mine but i'll save taht for another day. :)
  10. it means that the smoke is more than likely crap burning up in the exhausts, if they are second hand there could be crap in them, also as already said exhaust putty and all that Does it still boost okay and seem the same power?
  11. murt, did you see my questions? Decat? Wheres the exhaust from?
  12. id say that was more blue to be honest. However it could well be just oil in the exhausts? WHere were they from? Brand new? If they were second hand they could be full of oil.... i had that! Shit me up big style lol Have you done a decat?
  13. hydraulic on a 91 :)
  14. Whats hillarious there is that you were looking at the gear knob in her car, and not her! HEHE Almost as bad as pete not noticing his wife had done her hair but did notice that i didnt have the centre caps in my wheels anymore! Most unique thing about mine, is the dent in the side. I bet no ones got one like it!
  15. steering wheel on straight?
  16. possibly the rear hatch twisting or not seating properly and releaseing the switch.. Which actually come to think of it, how does the car know when the rear hatch is open. Ive never seen a switch!
  17. l'al ****er, wants his neck wringing. The mother needs to be told where her place is as well. Your mate wants to get his money back by doing what ever he can, no holds bared. Good luck to your friend!
  18. Double figures id be double checking!:rofl::rofl:
  19. Ah that would be matty... how is the fella getting on?
  20. you've been told once already. Use the search function.
  21. i normally get asked if i want mine scrapping! LOL wish someone would come and offer me some money for mine. Id take it and find me a mega quick one from jap land!
  22. hows about this for you? I use it (or used it) for exactly the same as you, well 400 a week going to work and back. Nice little car really, and does interstella mpg! http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=111963
  23. nice! It will break down in the first 5 miles though, it has to, to be faithful to the original anyway!
  24. £1500 will get you a reasonable NA Auto, maybe a manual if you look hard. I would personally avoid a TT at £1500 unless you have a couple of grand your willing to throw at it. As already said, be very aware of what your buying, dont expect more than 15mpg out of it and they like to be pampered! See the buying guide here to help you on your way. http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/BuyingZ.htm Oh and welcome!
  25. as i have said time and time again. If you can afford to risk it then do it... Bear in mind £2k should fettle it should it blow a turbo out. I know thats an over estimate, but whilst the engine is out there is a pile of work that should be done, for ease more than anything. Alot easier to work on a 300zx while there aint no engine in there! Do the searches, and you have been warned. So when you do get smoking exhausts at idle and no boost you'll know what it is!
