when i was considering my next car i looked at mitsi gt 3000's but considered them way to technical and even more stuff to go wrong than the zed, tt supra too expensive for what they are, big celicas with shopping trolley handles, lexus soarers, too few service and parts options as never imported in this country afaik, rx7 i thought was too japanese looking for my liking, scoobies common as muck as are m3 beemers, celica gt4 did get a lot of consideration but i fancied something a bit bigger, lancer evo's hmm too ricey, so i went for the zed in the end. and to behonest if it ever died beyond repair i would only ever replace it with another zed. but if i had to make the choice other than a zed i would take the risk with soarer twin turbo.

when i first pulled up into work, the shop hadnt opened and one girl said ooh thats lovely, er what is it. people think that i should be mega rich and wear armani suits or something, an when i explain that it cost half the price of a new fiesta there like omg, i agree they look an awful lot of car. one girl a work once said, are u trying to get a role in miami vice or something, previous car being a mk3 supra. i just laughed and said i like big cars, she said they dont come much bigger than that do they.

im still a relatively new 300 owner, had it about 3 months, and its my daily driver, and i still look forward to everytime i drive it, it has huge presence on the road and u tend to get staired at an awful lot which u get used to, around town the big motor happily purrs along and is good in town traffic, (but mines an auto and cant comment on a manual), from the lights u can leave most cars in the distance, and on motorways acceleration from 50mph is brutal. they can be tail happy but u get used to knowing the limit quite soon, and they do correct easily, fuel consuption and servicing cost will be high but there is lots of tech info available here and AndyZ can supply most spare parts at very reasonable prices, get someone who knows there stuff and take them along to look at a few examples. happy hunting

yeah i kinda figured it would be quite deadly, super wide tyres are great in the dry but in the snow they dont cut it, i used to get stranded in my supra with 100 bhp less, guess its peugeot 205 junior time.

whats the best advice for a zed in the snow, mines an auto, and ive had it 3 months and got to grips with it in the wet, but what are these beasts like in snow, or icy roads, is it best to keep it in 2nd gear, im dreading the short journey to work with 2 inches of snow.

yeah i seem to have the same problem, with the targas, i just slammed loads of vaseline around the seals, replaced the roof and is all ok, will get it sorted proper for the summer, i guess the rubber shrinks over time,

is this modded enough, if i was buying now this is the one i would get,

yeah thats them mini vinilis, no miguala mirella, well summat like that, there called "spiders" and lucky for me they came on the car whopping 18's , u can gladly have them only i cant get them off cos i dont have the locking wheel nut key, i thought were i live it would be on a nice set of 12" house bricks lol

id say so cos they did my import last week with no probs,

just noticed your from notts too, i havent seen a z round here for ages, if u ever go into pc world(mansfield) and see a red zed its mine,

goosehonk is as ive found out from this informative board is when the boost pressure drops when u come off throttle, its the recirc vavles or summthing, u dont kinda notice it with system of a down at full volume tho.
