thanks for the feedback, i have previously cleaned the throttle bodies, replaced the coolant temp sensor and have k n airfilters, all this made didly squat diference, one thing that bothers me is the tickover, when normal temp its around 1000 rpm i cant find the idle adjust screw anywhere, would the tps give any other symtoms besides high petrol consumption. mines totally stock as i can tell.

ok i did a longish motorway run at the week end 140 miles constant 70-80 with a few blasts here n there, then done 60 miles going to work 10 miles either way, and the 40 quid i put in is gone, running on fumes on the way home tonight, with my calculations at 71 p a lire that works out at 16 mpg surely a long run it should do more than 200 miles to 40 quid. i know mpg threads have been done to death but is this right.

u mean it came on when u didnt boot it? mine has done this once or twice had to switch it back on then off to turn the light out, im not sure what triggers it to come on when its switched off. when i put the pedal to the floor theres like a micro swith click, maybe its this that is dodgy?

me personally dont think the high level supra style spoiler suits the zed, its much more refined than a shopping trolley, im gonna go for the no spoiler removed rear wiper look.

amd all the way, i got a xp 1800 @ 2800 2.25 gig cost me 60 notes, with a slk 800 max temps is 52 degs in this heat, look out for the dlt3c steppings they over clock v well.

went to whilton mill karting today saw a totally stock zed there uk spec nice, and also saw 2 on m1 driving back, now nothing unusual abou this u might say. but they were all red, which just goes to show that red is the best :D :p

i dont see any harm in painting your car, i my self have a red rather badly faded zed, i hit a fox the other day and it damaged the front bumper that was already shaby, u will never match a faded car so the only way to go is full respray. think of it more of a restoration of a future classic, after all the main job of paint is to protect the rust prone metal underneath, many classic cars have full restoration back to there original state and have no detrimental effect to monetary value, on cars of these ages unless its been stored from new in a warehouse will never be factory new. people that buy cars to store them need there head looking at, what a waste. back to the original topic, the best thing to do is look up some local paint shops and have a look at the work they produce, the kinda of environment they use etc. use your judgement and get lots of quotes.

from what ive heard its pants, pinnacle instant dvd is the way to go apparently, ive just invested in a dvd writer so will nip down to pc world see what theyve got, theres quite a lot out there now and i guess its just a case of suck it and see

to reach 300 bhp you need to sell your na and buy a tt, unless you have expensive engine work done i cant see how a zorst n filter will give u the same performance, nos might give u the red light advantage and some good acceleration but once your out a gas your outa gas, turbos just keep coming back for more, also when u start modding the insurance is gonna creep up too.

just out of intrest, what overall diameter are these boost jets/welding tips. im thinking of some 1mm but dont know what fatness to get.

same happenend to me, left hose split, it had swelled enously, 10 quid for 2 pipes, a couple of hours work and it was sorted, worth changing anyway cos they will go eventually.

isnt there a bleed screw on the top left of the radiator my mate used this to get the air out

dont like the spoilers on that first ferarri, look a little drag inducing, must be a bugger to park.
