  5. Oh crap.... mikey is gonna keep pushing the button to see what he can do now..........rofl..... I can just see him jabbing his finger on the button, laughing madly, yelling "take that motherf***ers!"............lol
  6. Nope, but would love to win it for £52.....lol
  7. Well that's stopped me finding out who to avoid buying from..............lol
  8. I find local car cleaning company staffed entirely by polish guy's does a great job..... Guy's from POLAND..... not as in "polish your car sir?".......lol They will clean anything for peanuts...... I can get my car washed, waxed, hoovered for £9.99..... I can't even get the products to do it that cheap.... And they are meticulous.....lol I am going to get them to detail my engine bay once it is back on the road..... all they want is a photo for advertising.....lol
  9. Full of muck?? You saying my interior is muck? TAKE THAT BACK you shlaaaaaggggg.......lol I have done the passenger sill with dinitrol and will do the drivers sill tomorrow if the kids let me out to play.......lol Today I seam sealer'd everything....... and then undersealed the entire repair on the underfloor.........then I painted the sill with stone chip ( forgot to say I hammerite'd everything repaired, yesterday evening )...... During the drying time of the stone chip paint........lol I recovered the interior trim of my targa tops with some black vinyl to match the rear panels..... I then used some MS polymer adhesive to fix the side skirt back on the car and taped it in place..... this was hard to get it to stay stuck where it is supposed to be, tight to the bodywork...... I am going to put a couple of self tappers in when I get some nice stainless ones tomorrow.... I then wrapped every panel on the roof......Targa's, front and back roof sections, middle targa bar, all little trim pieces..... I am also going to wrap the front pillars tomorrow and the sail pillars.... I then went on to dynamat the roof panels and rear quarter panels while I can....lol Next was to refit all the roof lining, seals, sun visors, rear view mirror, lights, etc....... Been a busy bunny today..... Now I'm off to fit a pilar pod to my pillar trim...... boost gauge and pod I forgot I had bought years ago and found in a box today....... along with an old toad alarm, an old clifford alarm and a new set of 6x9 speakers.....ebay time........lol I will add pics in a while.... - - - Updated - - - cheers Santa..... Bit of a difference since you visited..... - - - Updated - - - Thanks for that Ossian.....
  10. I was thinking.... Put in a claim.... explain the set is not available....... ANYWHERE IN THE KNOWN WORLD...... and give them 3 quotes for sets of wheels, make 2 as expensive as you can and 1 the set you would like to have, being the cheapest.... I bet they go for the set you want......lol
  11. I agree with this, I am just here to chat, get advice, give advice and possibly make some friends along the way..... I am guessing Mrs Hollowpoint, you have a fiery temper and can be taken the wrong way and I guess in the past things have been said the right way and taken that way...... if you get what I am trying to say...... It is a shame that everyone involved in today's misunderstanding got so upset, so quickly..... Everyone, please rise above it and don't believe every typed comment is a dig......Most of the time it is sarcasm or whit..... but is often read differently to the way it was written and meant.... Mrs Hollowpoint ...... I do think yours and your husbands car is absolutely stunning and I am enjoying reading your thread and seeing all you have done to your Z.... No offence meant by this post, I just wanted to agree with evilanger....... Russ
  12. I got the price of 2 out of the 4 and a letter saying take the money or try taking us to court then...... I took the money..... luckily got the 3 from smiths wheels that they had from a damaged set..... I now have 3 slightly buckled wheels in my garden and still trying to find a company that might be able to straighten the lip on 2...... The wheels you have look a bit like the Axis shine.... I looked on ebay uk and the US earlier for you..... but couldn't find anything of any size.....
  13. Hi Dave, might be worth contacting Axis and seeing if they have a dealer anywhere with some old stock??? info@axiswheels.com Also the council will only pay for the wheels that are damaged, not full sets.... I had this and only got paid out for 2 wheels and they were no longer available.... Managed to get 2 from smiths wheels as they had 3 that a customer had replaced due to pot hole damage.... 2 out of the 3 were good and 1 was slightly buckled.... Got me out of trouble though..... Bloody councils...... I had picture of huge sunken drain cover and they knew about it for a week and didn't repair it till the day after my phone call when I told them they owed me £900.....
  14. She looks lovely mate...... So you doing the night feeds and those nasty first nappies........lol
  15. Congratulations mate, really happy for you..... give my regards to your Mrs and the family...... You gonna go with a girls name beginning with Z........lol
  16. If you were local I would have come and done it for you......
  17. It looks awful fitted..... doesn't look right or finished......
  18. Thanks for that, I must admit at times I felt lost.... But everyone that has given advice and encouragement has kept me going..... a special thanks to Redwine300 and Ruishy1 and yourself......... for the support and advice.... I just need to filler and paint...... and refit the skirt and interior..... and rebuild the engine.....lol I now enjoy welding..... weird to admit that.... I keep thinking what can I make now......lol I already have a few idea's for custom parts...... Blame FunkySi......... he started me off on an idea the other day.....lol
  19. Can you solder bird? If you can then buy the one that Si found and solder on the socket.... You will need to strip back the outer insulator leaving the outer wire sheath intact.... Roll this wire back over the cut outer plastic covering you just trimmed... Stip back some of the inner sheath to reveal the inner core wire making sure the 2 wires do not touch.... insert into the new socket and solder the middle wire to the middle pin connection..... crimp the connector carefully with a pair of crimps/pliers so the teeth looking parts grip the outer metal wire you pulled back..... and job done..... Russ
  20. I have been off work due to illness for 10 years..... but decided to become a foster carer in 2007 as I felt bad taking benefits and giving nothing back.... I have still got my cluster headaches and Suna headaches (approx 30-32 a day).... But just gone for a job in a childrens care home and was given the job..... I really thought I was unemployable due to my headaches, but waiting for DBR (police check) and I am ready to go.... Can't wait to be working again...... and then I can hopefully afford to do my Z...... And this is why my car has been off the road for 6 years.... I have been called all sorts for being ill and claiming benefits.... But got £400 a month for bills, food, clothing and rent.... I can't wait to get back to a normal life again....
  21. Cheers Ian, I feel so relieved now the actual welding is done and she is all solid again.... cheers for that.... It feels good, but a bit sad that all the welding is now done... I even wrapped my targa tops with carbon fibre effect film while I was letting the primer dry today.....lol I am going to wrap the rest of the roof panels tomorrow if I can decide how to end the wrap under the targa's and under the boot lid ... It needs to look nice when they are removed as well as when they are fitted.... I am going to test fit the side skirt to see what repairs need doing on it after I had to ease it off the body and cut the bonding/sealer..... and underseal all the repairs when the paint is dried tomorrow.... Looks a bit damaged, but should be repairable...... Now all I need is the paint to repaint the repairs...... apparently debeer changed the mix for my paint in 2001/2002 and the sprayer has no idea of the mix..... I need an old debeer microfiche from 2000 for porsche amethyst..... DOH!
  22. this is what it looks like till I grind it down today and fold over the bottom edge to match the original panel......
