  6. Thanks Eggs...... I did wonder if I should have filled the cooler before clamping all the lines up....... but decided it would probably just run into the empty sump by the time I get this ready to crank...... I might try and use a short length of hose and funnel then fill the cooler like you said....... I am going to use castrol magnatec 10w 40, just need to go and get some now...... Cheers Eggs.....
  7. Anyone know how much oil I should put in for first turn over to prime turbo's, oil lines and cooler??? I have New oil filter, Empty oil lines and slightly bigger oil cooler? 13. Cheers Eggs.... I will dump the old fuel and refill with some good stuff when the engines ready..... errrrmmm whats the best way to empty the old fuel out of the tank.....lol
  14. I thought the oil cooler didn't fill till oil was up to running temperature?.... I was worried that it would suddenly fill and take oil away from the engine.....
  15. Hi, I have just fitted the new oil cooler and lines and before I get finished putting radiator in and cranking over the engine............ I have a few questions..... 1) I can't find the restrictor in the old oil lines as I only had the ones from the block to the metal hard pipes.... no restrictor seems to be in them..... do I need to get one and fit it to the new braided lines? Made restrictor myself 2) How do I prime the new oil cooler and oil lines before firing the engine for the first time? I know about cranking the engine without ignition to prime the turbo's..... Do I fill the oil cooler manually? Going To fill oil cooler before I fill engine to make sure there is oil in the system before cranking! 3) Also fitted Transmission oil cooler.... used a std TT oil cooler for transmission as I am fitting an alloy rad without oil cooler for the transmission..... Do I fill this with auto transmission fluid as I lost loads when I pulled the engine a few years ago? Going to fill with fluid and check transmission fluid level when running 4) Is it okay to clean up brake discs that are rusted..... cars been sitting outside for 6 years without use......? Going to remove and clean off the rust and see if they are pitted! 5) Does the old fuel need emptying before I fire up the engine as it is 6 years old, about 1/2 a tank full? Emptying tomorrow after advice!! 6) Will the warlbro 255 pump I fitted be okay for a TT or should I have gone with a 2nd hand TT pump? Still need advice on number 6 .......please....

  19. Try this..... http://www.maplin.co.uk/led-running-light-22559..... I would use the outputs for the LED's and wire it into a LED rear brake light..... use each output from the circuit board to each LED in the brake light unit..... Runs from 8-15v so should be okay on 12v..... I might have a go on my saab and see what it it like.....
