  1. Til they break down and their dads wont fork out for repairs :D Pete
  2. Very true  - could've had TWO zeds (and probably run 'em both) for the cost of getting married and honeymoon last summer! Bottled water?! LOL! Must try that one! Pete
  3. Errr.. spent every last penny on buying and insuring it ;) :( Pete
  4. Does anyone know where I can get these from as one connector (left one of two, on front of engine - think its the cooling fan) is missing and the connector pulls of really easily. I did a search on the forum and found posts about making them out of paperclips or pianostrings (WTF?!). Can they be bought from Nissan? Has anyone bought any? Cheers Pete
  5. LOL! But isn't silver poor round tight bends? And it scares children :D
  6. That Max Power feature was a big influence in the Zed catching my eye :) All praise Mac the Zed Idol! - idea for an ITV series maybe:D ... Pete
  7. Wont happen again sir :( , just needed a ball park figure. Cheers Pete
  8. Flicking through the Parkers Guide last night: Brand new Ford Galaxy loses £14K in its first year    !
  9. Auto Import TT. And red, I think red is quicker isn't it? ;)
  10. Bit naughty I know but I spent this nice warm lunchtime with a mate trying 0-60 (96) with a stopwatch. Did 5 runs - 4 runs@5.4secs, 1@5.3secs. I just needed to know :D :D . I know is not accurate but it cant be far wrong. What I did notice was that it took a good 1 - 1.5 secs to actually get going, maybe Nelson was right with the mass reduction ;) :p ... Cheers Pete
  11. Hope this thread doesn't start depressing people  :D Sorry Pete
  12. LOL - you menace!
  13. If say £1 of mods added £1 to the value of your Zed, how much would people's zeds be worth? Just a thought Pete
  14. TBH James I haven't tried the radio to see what what freqs it stretches to, just assumed it wouldn't pick up any! Still the tape player is v basic (no offence TonyC ha ha!). Thanks AndyZ but I've entered into a written contract I wouldn't want to breach! :D Cheers Pete
  15. Thanks James! - does the radio work here? Can you send me an email: peter_edgar@hotmail.com with you address and stuff and I'll send you a cheque for postage etc. James300 Pete
  16. Nice one, cheers mate! Everyone who's sat in my car has said "Has it got a CD player?!" Is there no pleasing anyone  ?
  17. So can I just fit a new CD player in and the radio will work?  Cheers Pete
  18. What is involved in converting the radio bandwidth setup so I can listen to the radio? I've got the original tape cassette/radio, I presume there's some sort of electrical work and parts required? Cheers Pete
  19. The drips come from the inside top left, where the two black interior pieces meet. Suppose you get used to the acceleration, I'm still in the scared but loving it stage! Mind you since I've filled up a couple of times, you're mind turns to driving slow to reduce MPG. Oh yeah - another thing - when filling up the pump constantly clicks off like the tank's full. I have to squeeze really lightly to stop this, then it takes ages  . Is this an import-filler problem? Cheers Pete
  20. Hey all, a little summary... Well I've had my zed a week now, and I'm still grinning :D . Beautiful car, comfortable, phenomenal acceleration but v quiet and smooth. Before yesterday I'd only driven in the rain and wet, so have been v careful around bends, roundabouts etc. In the dry the car feels v different, it really grips the roads and gives you confidence round bends I've never had before. The dry has let me test the acceleration from 1st gear - WOW! , in the wet the wheels span  when I tried. Still getting used to the looks from EVERYBODY, at petrol stations (3 visits  ) especially. Only this morning a group of kids stopped and stared and a couple went "Whoa!" Felt good! Had a little leak near the front of the drivers door during the really big downpour the other day, might have to get the peanut butter out :D , and when I open the boot when wet, water drips onto the back seats from the far left. Anyone had this? All in all a great week, anyone want to buy a Mondeo ;) ? Cheers Pete
  21. At least they were cheap I s'pose! How much for the tracking on its own? Pete
  22. WTF?! Why did they go through with fitting them if they couldn't finish the job  ??? Pete
  23. Yeah Jap Performance is good - technical info without the jargon, and a bit of a laugh in places. Pete
