Aftermarket remote locking?
[dunce hat] Ahh - so do alarms include remote locking? [/dunce hat] Sorry - only ever had simple cars with factory alarms and manual locks  :) Cheers Ajay Pete

Hope this isn't a stupid question.. But...
 How near? - when nail mine (-7 to +7 gauge) it rises to one notch from +7! Anybody got a stock comparison? Is stock around 9psi? Cheers Pete

Headlights on = dim interior!

Headlights on = dim interior!
LOL James you sarky git! Is that more Jap-logic  ? "Sorry officer, I was blinded by my clock" When I look down at the clock, it takes far too long to adjust from the road lights etc, maybe I should pull over to the side to look at the time. Or switch my lights off? :D And another thing, when the car is in "park" the gear knob obscures the blo0dy clock anyway:rolleyes: :D . Dear me! Only just got the clock fixed (cheers Andy!:D) and I'm complaining already! Pete

Headlights on = dim interior!
Why is this? When my headlights are on the clock display etc go v dim, hard to read  . Shouldn't they get brighter?! Is it a battery related problem? I haven't got any big energy-sapping devices fitted. Cheers Pete

Turbo Timer
I was comparing notes with a TRD MR2 owner the other week (after I kicked his a$$ on the dragstrip :D) and he showed me his Turbo Timer - every time the boost passes a certain pressure whilst driving the timer adds 1 to the digital display. Then at the end of the journey, ignition key out and the timer counts down from whatever figure it reached before cutting the idle. Sounds a failsafe way of judging how long to leave it. Didn't catch the make etc but I'm sure it was a popular brand. Is this a pretty standard type, or does it cost loads more? Pete

This is gonna stir up a real hornets nest...
...and POWER automatically kicks in instantly when you floor it. Also has a HOLD button which stops the gear changing, more useful for taking icy roads in a high gear. Plus OVERDRIVE, when "off" the revs rise by a couple of thousand for a quicker getaway :D:D. Pete

This is gonna stir up a real hornets nest...
Eric, I own an Auto TT and one thing you notice when accelerating is that gearchanges are always smooth and (correct me if I'm wrong) perfectly timed. Manuals *may* be slightly quicker 0-60 but only if your gearchanges are spot on with regards to shifting quick and judging revs. Even pro's "miss gears". Pete

Audi TT spotted...
... fvcking everywhere, common as muck. Plus they look like a new VW Beetle squashed into the floor. I love my Zed cos I feel unique driving and owning it, not like all those bl0ody sheep around. Is is just me or if I was looking to buy a brand new sports coupe, there's nothing I really like at the moment? Pete

Erm...Connection Under Front Bumper??
Sorry to interrupt - but is there a part of a Zed that DOESN'T have a temp sensor  :D ! Why does the car need to know what temp the fuel is at  ? Not questioning you Mr D, just more and more amazed by the Zed-electrickery every day ;) . Hope you get it sorted jenbstevieb Pete :)

Jap Brake/Headlight bulbs
Hi Just noticed that I have a couple of bulbs out. One headlight bulb has died, so I'll take the opportunity to get a pair of brighter ones. What do people recommend for this - I don't want any problems accociated with 100W ones I've found searching, just a little brighter. Do Halfrauds sell 'em or it is a case of mail order cos its an import? Also one brake light is v dim, I haven't investigated this yet, just been told by a mate who was following (or trying to :D:D). He says there is some light, but not much. Again, can I source these bulbs easily? How many are there per brake light? Sorry to those people with bigger probs :( , I'm sure I'll have those in the future. Cheers for any help Pete :)

Strange V5 wordings?
Ahh thanks for the info guys. I'll probably just leave it as it is and make sure future insurance policies are ok. At the mo insurance is fine because they couldn't find the car from the reg number so I had to give it to them. The V5 says "declared 1990" too which I suppose at least shows the dvla it must be a Z32. My bro in law works for Fords and can do HPi checks so I might try that too :) . Its reassuring to know that my Zed does have 2 axles though, and that the body is rigid ;) . Cheers Pete
