  1. Yep you are mate, see a doctor ;)
  2. I'd say it'd give you about minus 230BHP ;) :D
  3. I've got this too, will be interested to know  Bloody annoying - it happens when turning right at slow speeds. Discs seem fine when I had a look.
  4. My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family :( Pete
  5. Thanks for the info lads, Thought it might be a PITA to replace :( . It seems to have held firmly in place with the sealant I put on it, did a long trip today with no troubles. I'll keep an eye on things. I will put a new radiator near the top of my list of things to get. Hopefully an uprated one like Warrens might becaome an option :) . Off this topic - I ran a full tank of normal unleaded for the first time this week and the car didn't like it one bit. Performance was down and it even didn't start straight away like usual. Didn't realise there was that much effect. A tank of optimax sorted it out today :). Cheers Pete
  6. Hello all :) Had problems whilst fitting a new Samco top radiator hose today. The rad inlet where the hose fits onto crumbled as the plastic was v brittle and I was only left with 10mm-ish to jubilee clip the hose onto. I had to put the orig one back on cos the Samco was slightly shorter, enough to mean it wouldn't stay on now the plastic was broken. Now is the inlet part of the radiator, or does it come off the radiator? It extends down the side so looks like the rad would have to come out to replace the broken bit anyway. Suppose I could try to repair the plastic with glue and more plastic but dont want to botch it. Anyone had this before? I've put the stock hose back on, with a wider jubilee clip and gunked some sealant on to hold it. The car ran fine after filling the coolant back up with what I lost. So today I've spent lots of hours fannying around with this hose - achieving nothing and breaking my car, and trying and failing to sort out the whining noise when turning right. Cheers Pete
  7. You think there's occassional aggro on here?! Well take 15 mins on scoobynet: Fights and post deletions galore! Funny reading :D Pete
  8. Ahh I thought pre-92 just mean no cat is ok, should be fine then :) Duff - cheers nice one, I'll try the hose trick *if* it fails. :) Pete
  9. Hey folks, I've booked my Zed in at Nissan for its MOT on Monday. I'm sure it'll pass but am slightly concerned about emissions. Is emissions test failing common among us Zedowners? Mine's decatted also. I 'eard the trick about pulling that hose out (dunno what it's called but could point it out) but do you think this'll be necessary, or just a trick in case it fails  Also, the car will be sat there all morning waiting, so won't have been warmed up - will this be a problem? Or shall I tell them to warm it up first (like they'll listen  ) Thanks everyone :) Pete
  10. Berks - you spoilt it mate :D LOL! Good pic Tony, isn't there a boyracer mag that prints topspeed speedo pics for a prize? Might fool them :D

    Nice one! :D
  18. You could apply the "horses were here first" to so many other things... Pedestrians were around before cars but I wouldn't agree it's ok for them to walk on motorways etc...it's all about what the motorway was built for surely? Tarmac roads are builts for cars, the horseriding community should've objected to the original laying of the roads. Maybe the government should build horsepaths like cyclepaths? It's the way car drivers get disapproving looks, gesticulations etc from the riders that gets my back up. WTF do they want us to do??? Veer off onto a neighbouring field (probably theirs anyway :D) and take a mile long detour through the countryside FFS!? They've got their interest/mode of transport and we've got ours and thats fine but the way they look down on cars (;)) annoys me. Anyway - how many horseriders were around when cars weren't? - none. Rant 2 over ;) Pete
  19. Mpg - low, 17-23ish Service costs - cheap if you land a good'un, lots if you are unlucky :( Bide your time mate, and do lots of research, the best place to buy one is from a member here but obviously not many go up for sale. That way you've got a great written history of the car. Do a search for "dealer", "importer", and other like terms and you'll find where NOT to get one ;) Obviously the search will bring up good dealers and importers but it's a way of finding the one's to avoid. Search is good. If there are any zed owners living near you, I'm sure you could get a good appraisal of the car, put a shout out :) HTH Pete
  20. Its a free, virginal prostitute mate ;)
  21. Boring old farts some of them aren't they. They should have their cars confiscated and replaced with Volvos. :D
  22. I was "inviting" :D a convertible M3 to race on the way home last night, he wasn't having any of it though  - the chicken. He obviously knew he was inferior :D Cheers Pete
  23. Tony - you got that speedo one? Stick it on here ;) :D Cheers Pete
  24. I get so p!ssed off when driving along a B-road when around the corner suddenly there's, for example, an 11 year-old trotting along on a horse on the road. Surely there should be a lower age limit for being in control of such a large, and potentially dangerous, animal on the road  ! Then the 11 year-old will start directing traffic around her - horseriders are not insured remember! So if the horse flips and kicks a big hole in your car there nothing you can do but sort it yourself  An auntie of mine had a horse go apeshit while she was waiting to pass and kicked and damaged her car! She lost her no-claims because of it. Don't get me wrong, I'm as cautious around horses as anyone, but I still sit fuming in my car when I see thins sort of thing. Rant over Pete
  25. LOL - Can I have ..o*o.. then? Or (_8-(1) ? :D :D
