bad news today.
Guess what, I'm an IT man too, and waiting for redundancy round the middle of next year .... Not looking forward to joining the job market, since it's so damn poor at the mo, but like Stuart, I am looking forward to picking up the cheque - may be able to pay off a few debts, if nothing else, maybe even a 350;) Who knows. Personally, I think the problems are more to do with global conditions and the appalling state of the FTSE ... I mean, who wants to take entrepreneurial risks in the current climate, or even invest in major projects, where there's no guaranteed return.:( Unfortunately, at the moment, we're all driven by the bottom line, and in most cases, that just means "cost cutting" - which is no good for anyone, except accountants! Hopefully, it'll pick up next year, in fact we had lunch with a pair of lovely recruitment consultants yesterday, who assured us that it was going to pick-up towards the end of next year:D Yeah right, just what I heard last Christmas! Let's hope they're right - but for now, let's try and forget the gloomy outlook and get pissed for Chrimbo;) In fact I'm just about to take my lot for their Chrimbo dinner, so any postings this afternoon could be more non-sensical than usual! CheerZ everyone, John.

red 300 on the bill!
Could be a regular feature, given that it belongs to Ma'am and all that:D Let's hope she doesn't end up the way of most of the cast in the Bill of late:eek: Very nice shiny motor ...... Nice.

What are u buying the other half for xmas?
Well, after a very nice day being smoozed by stunning shop assistants in Harrods yesterday, I can report the following purchases for Mrs John Boy. 1. Compaq Ipaq. 2. Crystal ring thing from Swarovski (I think) 3. Underwear from La Perla - no alternate motive (honest:D ) 4. Leather briefcase thingy 5. Chanel make-up (various) Now I do enjoy Chrimbo shopping - it's just the paying for it for the rest of year that I'm not so keen on!!:( Still at least the credit card bills will give me something to blow my redundancy cheque on, other than a 300!!! CheerZ, John.

bad news today.
Sh1t Mark, That's rough timing to be sure - what feckers - hope it gets better in 2003. We're currently running down the site that I work at, and despite the fact that we're going to get redundancy in June/July the first lot of people who's jobs have gone have just been told to take alternative (crap) work here, or forgo the redundancy. It's happening all over, I'm afraid - bloody businesses run by accountants:mad: Always the bottom line. Makes me sick. As far as selling the Zed goes ... adopting vulture mode.... I would definitely be interested, as it sounds like a real good one. Almost as excited as Stuart says, although I have managed to retain self-control so far ... it's touch and go though, as I am passionate about getting another zed, if you know what I mean:D I'll try and give you a bell later. RegardZ, John.

Zed is now SOLD.
Bugger. Scratch that one from the list, would you? Well done Chris - quick turnaround ... Volvo, though:eek:  CheerZ, John.

Selling My ZED
That's good news (the bit about being a manual, not your missus getting it wrong:D ) I'm certainly in the market to make a purchase right now - can we talk? Can you send me a PM with a contact number to discuss? Look forward to hearing from you .... John.

Selling My ZED
Hi Chris, Is it auto or manual? - Ah ha, the 5 million dollar question:D Take your point about the missus, though - they do purvey all things practical:( CheerZ, John.

Happy ZXmas!!
He's gonna need a pretty big sack this year!!! I'm not sure that a Z32's gonna fit down my chimney, it's only a small one - no, this is not a double-entendre!:D Yeah, why not while we're here .... SeaZons GreetingZ to all!:D

DIY on Z's
Guess what, Marty .... They do stand up well in crashes, as it happens!!;) Recent experience has taught me to trust in the build quality ... you should have seen the other guy's car:( Still that's what happens if you randomly drive into someone on their side of the road!! Particularly if you haven't bothered to obtain a licence at some point before setting off with a car load. CheerZ, John.

ZX Wannabe in Surrey

Buying a 300zx
Hey Russ, Another non-standard person here, but beware the one with the corner damage - it could be my recently departed Z!!:D :D That's largely what happened to it. Mind you, if it is, I'll want to know why - since I'm hoping to buy it back from the Insurance company - hmmm, better give them a call!:D CheerZ, John.

300z-wrecked!

just got one!
Welcome aboard, Dave ... :D I thought I'd say just that and leave the technical queries to those in the know (of which there are plenty here). Roll-up, Roll-up for the wallet-ectomy! Enjoy.:D CheerZ, John.

I'm in the M3 Club - God help me:confused: Only contractors can afford such machines in my office:D And I'm the boss FFS!

Humour Movies....
LMFAO!!!:D :D :D Although I've seen the guy smash up his PC before - it still makes me wet myself!:D I SO know how he feels - infernal machines! Thanks Robert for a little Friday evening relief!:D

300z-wrecked!
Ok Aaron, I'll mark that one down:D Sounds like a goer to me (assuming I get it back), but make that for the complete car minus the 'zorst! Dependent on what's attached to my next Z, I might need it, failing that I think Stuart's got first dibbs!;) Don't know where you are - but the car's in Camberwell at the moment. Hang on! What are those strange shapes circling above??:D :D tee hee. CheerZ, John.

300z-wrecked!
Thanks Anita - appreciated. Gio - good idea, I'll give Mike a call as a soon as I've found out what's happening with the wreck - after all, I'm pretty sure there's a breakers nearby to Mike in Brentwood - is it Z-xtra? CheerZ, John.

300z-wrecked!
Thanks Gio .... Legal people are on it now, they seem anxious to pursue the little-sh1te who did the damage - don't know where they'll get, but apparently I need to see a doctor to check for any "soft tissue" damage - don't know what that is, but it sounds nasty:eek: The car has been confirmed as a total loss - now just need to find out what the score is with recovering the wreckage. Trouble is, I don't have anywhere to store it, even if I can get it (not without fear of divorce:D ) - has anyone else had experience of this? Is there somewhere I could take it for dismantling? CheerZ, John.

advice
Hmmm, Looks kinda familiar, that one;)
-
300z-wrecked!
Certainly am hoping to recover the 'zorst - it's a lovely piece of stainless craftwork from Luke's emporium!! If the new Zed's got the business attached, then I'll gladly get it sorted for you - after all, it would be nice to see someone on here profit from a sh1tty situation.

nearly finished my mods
Stuart, If you mean Andy D's (formely Senna's) - yes, I've mailed him today as it happens, but I got the impression from the "sale" thread that it had probably gone by now:( Hopefully, if it hasn't then I'll hear something pretty soon;) Cheers for that, anyhow. As for the Halfway House meet, I'll post some details in the meets section, just as soon as I know I won't have to turn up in the missus's motor, with the embarassing number-plate! :D CheerZ, John.

NZR : Bad ADSL performance
Hairsy, I've also got BT Broadband, and it's definitely not as quick as it used to be ... also sometimes takes ages to get on "always on" - yeah right ... and I have to kill the browser and re-start, then it seems to be OK. Perhaps it's because they dropped the price from 40 quid a month to 30, after all, you get what you pay for!:D :D If it gets any worse, I think I'll call BT ... hmmm, wonder if that'll help! CheerZ, John.

300z-wrecked!
Thanks Guys ... appreciate the sentiment. Good point from Vijay, though, damn glad that I let them know about my 'zorst now ... I think everything else was standard ... I don't know if you have to declare 300zx.co.uk window stickers:confused: If so, then I could be f6cked yet!!!:(
