  3. my old jap had one too, more like a bee sting aerial, it fell off while washing the zed, wasnt actually doing anything
  4. Hallaluyar brother. The gospel of zed........ lol
  5. But they are worth it, Welcome.
  6. I use a transit van everyday for work, each day i come home and see my zed sat on the driveway. Even if i have other things to do, i make some sort of excuse and put them off, it always lands up i take her out, even if its just a blip down the shops or just go out for a drive to unwind. Every day the zed goes out, each time i press the pedal, and it pulls away, it makes me smile, its nice to see other other people driving around and they seem bored and caught up in their own world and dull. Get yourself a zed, hear it purr and no matter what the world throws at you, keep on smiling. These beasts are superb............................ Love em.................. :hyper:

I had a similar one mounted on the side of the fascia on my jap TT, for ages i thought it was something else, until a few days before mot the guy switched it on and i saw the rear fog light light up.:slap:
  8. Wooooohooooooooo gotta love the japs......... Cool vid:bow::bow:
  9. Im in for this, where is it?
  10. Cheeky sods. only doing it to get more cash from people, why wont he issue you with another pass, as a majority of folks have 2-3 cars in a family. I would get onto Trading standards. However ive been in same situ, but at the time my van was clamped by an illegal clamper in Brighton, he wouldnt remove it no matter what i said or the person who had let me park in their bay (gave me their permit, to do some plumbing) So out comes the 14" petrol cutter and then warned him, that if he didnt remove it i defo would. He called the police, and landed up getting knicked for a warrant issue and section 5 public order act. So i just left the clamp on the side of the bay in a pile lol :x:
  11. Nice meeting you yesterday mate, if you need a hand or advice im only 5 mins down the road. You have got to post up some pics of the zed, it is seriously clean and totally standard, if you are around on thursday will go over to hassle UNO and have a beer, meet another zed nut. That engine bay is untouched, and one of the cleanest ive ever seen. You should be well proud. Stu p.s. Sorry to throw you to lions.................
  12. Nice and close to me this one, form completed. Will meet up with Uno on route.
  13. If you could meet a member of the forum that you havent, who would it be and why? StellaZ, dont ask me why? i just find Alan so funny, the posts he puts up, and the stuff he deals with in his day to day and worklife are so similar to me (tennants, and alcohol), good on yer mate. Vinniboy. Because i like the way he makes his own designs and does his own stuff on zeds. Another good on yer. Car Mad. He clearly is mad about cars, and all in the best colour. A real enthusiast Cant think of more at the mo, ive met a loads others, all of which are just as they seem, good on you all........
  14. Good to chat to you mate, will pop over tomorrow and introduce myself, UPDATE........ Have just checked the expansion bottle and all the water is now back in the radiator, at the level it was this morning, when cold??????? How weird..... Everyday i find out something new about zeds, Why dont they make things easy!!!!! Stu
  15. Best wishes to you mate, i have never met you, but love the replies you give to threads, having just got back of my hols, im trying to catch up whats going on P.S. Doe's this mean, your front bumper will be availible??? 1st dibs............ Just kidding, All the best Vinz Stu
  16. i have just sat in nearly an hour of stationary traffic in the zed, temp gauge was half way as always, the sub fan kicks in and then off after cooling it down a bit. having had an issue with the top hose popping before, i put the heater onto full heat and check that the air that comes out is constant heat (ie to see if it changes to cold, then possible an airlock) Air stayed at hot all the time, gauge didnt move, all seems good. tunr it back down to 10. Park up at home, turn off, nothing weird just the usual clicks from the zorsts cooling down. Go indoors. However 5 mins later, go outside and can hear water bubbling into the expansion bottle, but top rad hose feels like no pressure in it. Is this common when the zed has got super warm and it dumps water into the expansion to cool itself down, then draw it back later????? or is it something else? Stu
  17. Good stuff, im off the the Canary islands for a week, and will give you a bell. Keep an eye on this thread, or get subscribed, best £20 you will spend. Stu
  18. Welcome. Cool another zed local to me, Im just down the road in East Preston. If you want any advice or help just ask, more than happy to get grubby. Put up some pics of the zed, im always around in my Black M plate UK TT. Stu
  19. Jesus matt, thank fook your okay, could have been a whole different matter. If you need any stuff to keep the zed on the road or need a hand, give me a bell. Stu
  20. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is this for real....................
  21. Just one more bit of advice, before you pull the clocks out, do it slowly as there are electrical connections either side of the clocks. and the use of a magnetic screwdriver is helpful, as ive lost many screws into the abyss behind the dash, some fall out and hit the footwell carpet, some dont
  22. Just been chatting to another zed owner and have worked out this. This is based on my zed, Sunny days. whether driving along country roads, or messing about and using lots of fuel or stuck in poxy traffic, the zed is great. Dosent miss a beat. All is good. However.!!! Dull usual days were are having and getting soaked, as its constantly p**sing it down The zed coughs and splutters and drives pants. You think that something has gone wrong, and drive all worried that it will go bang, and can only see your bank account losing more digits. Then the next day when its fine and dry and the car is back to being a total hooligan. I keep checking the maf and have found slight moisture around it, i havent got splash guards on the zed at the mo, as have been replacing front bumper. Sure these engines suck it up like crazy, but surely it cant make that much difference. Anyone else??????????
  23. £500!!!!! what a waste of a not bad car, throw that crud kit away, clean it it and then flog it, Why put a stupid kit on it. Bag of poo.imho
  24. Ive just fitted mine just now, bought of a memeber on here. 15 mins and both fitted, they are seriously loud.
