  7. Need to see pic of the outer side to establish 2 things. 1. Is it for a fog light 2. if the 300zx is not silver ie has a el panel in. If so then the wires will be a + and -, connect to battery and see what happens. If its illuminated will need a convertor.

  9. Welcome to the club mate, have a look at this link it helps, if your unsure on stuff post up the questions, we are here to help..... One bit of sound advice, look at as many as you can, you could buy a cheap zed but it will work out expensive in the long run. After seeing a few it will become aparent what a good one is and what a bad one is. When you find the one you will know Good luck http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=127365&highlight=buying+guide
  10. I wouldnt worry to much, sounds just the crud being burnt after being removed. when i first got my zed, i used some wynns injector cleaner, for a while it was coughing out crap. But now it is nothing, and i still pour a bottle of it in every third full tank of petrol. If you want to see what effects years worth of carbon build up, do a throttle body / plenium clean with carb / injection cleaner. Now that makes if smoke, but a few miles of use and it is a massive difference, how much the engine btreathes better.
  11. Yep, nice guy, gave him some advice. At this rate we should get our meets region lol Stu
  12. Here is a picture of the drivers footwell fuse box in english. And also a link to run diagnosis on the ecu. Nice to see another Black TT Manual very close to me, as before if you need any bits let me know. Stu Ecu link - http://www.ttzd.com/tech/diagnostictech.html
  13. Get a zed back in your life!!!. im glad when you started liking zeds, as ive still got one of your first ones. Still going very very strong, and gets used everyday rain or shine. I look after it and she looks after me...................:bow:
  14. Just a quick thought, re this, mine was losing water but couldnt locate for ages. Turned out the top rad hose had gone soft, think its called vulcanised. when at full temp it was letting a mist of water out, but due to the engine heat it evaporated instantly. After a decent drive check the condition of the top hose, it should be under pressure but not expanding to much. mine was the size of a tennis ball. Got a new OEM hose and problem sorted.
  15. Good on yer my old fruit, its what makes this club what it it............. Trish did it sort it............?
  16. Ian, happy birthday mate, if i hadnt already voted, you would have got mine. Lurvly zed mate................. Bout time we sorted a meet........
  17. http://www.pinktentacle.com/2007/05/extreme-japanese-custom-vans/ LMFAO, stop stop stop, funniest thing ive seen in ages, still giggling. they must have overdone the crack pipe to come up with them.......
  18. Football............What a total load of crud, a bunch of blokes chasing a round thing around on grass, kissing and hugging when they kick it at the bloke wearing gloves and he misses it, and it hits the net thing. diving all over the place and having their shins sprayed with a " magic potion" just to see them jump up and be fine 5 secs later, only watch world cup games if i can asked, give me a 12' staker rod, a bag of dog biscuits,a few cans of stella, some lilly pads and a 30lb carp, football is far to energetic for me.
  19. the difference after a clean up, SUPERB!!!! lots of goodies to fit, can you get the hardpipes with the bovs polished and fitted with red silicone to suit the rest......... Its like christmas:bow:
  20. More than likely series 3, have you got alcantara trim, and leather. needs to know more info on whats inside.......... Im basing it on mine, as its a series 3.
  21. Im trying to source it on ebay, think it would be a cool mod for a zed. What you think.........:hurl: lol
  22. Wow cant believe how many people have viewed and replied to this thread. Keep em coming:hyper:
  23. Joel, are these on your zed. if so, any chance of some pictures from inside, ive got another idea to use El panel........
  24. Use a fine bristle brush, the softer the better, as you apply it, it forms its own level and smooths out.. Mine have been on for a fair while now, despite all the weather and the odd bit of car polish (it just wipes off) still same colour as day i put it on.
