just got a Z32 but its soooo slow
The S13, is a differnt car due to the weight. sure it can go like stink at low down to quite quick, but a decent zed wakes up when others are dying off, trust me a standard one is quick, but a bit modded one is a loon. Every time i take mine out it makes me smile, then i have to back off as it all gets too quick. You may a problem, need to establish what at first. Where are you in Sussex?, im in Worthing and know a fair bit about these cars.

What we all got planned this weekend?
Well, i have already done one of my weekend jobs. fitting new pads to the front, cant believe i left them this long. about 2 mm left on them. Having greased all moving parts up and unseizing a very slight seized piston on the nearside. All is now smooth and after a quick road test, it stops as it should. Next is to go around the whole car with a grease gun, and make sure all is lubed up. Andy, can you let me know how you get on with the O2 sensors as its my tomorrow job, and im dreading it. Stu

Possible detonantion a bit technical
Firstly i had dett issues some 18 months ago, after by passing with a 1mohm resistor all was good. pulls like mad and is running 14psi with boost jets. However, whilst on route to Thorpe park today it started to feel lumpy at the top end of boost. It was quick, but not as much as before. Then i noticed it was running at safety boost only 7psi. A couple of days back i let it run a bit low trying to get to the petrol station. i checked the resistor and all is good, have re cleaned the throttle bodies and they are still very clean, after the day, i put some injector cleaner in with fuel. still running a bit pants, then all of a sudden it goes back to hitting 14psi, and back to normal. I havent reset the ecu or done a diagnostic yet. what would have caused it? do the ecu's self learn as so to speak, as nothing has changed. Surely if the injectors were a bit clogged up by running very low on fuel, then they still would be. Can them getting a clean really make such a difference.?????????

TPS - what should happen when remove?
Use a multimeter and connect to the tps side of the connector, i tried using the spades in the connector, but no joy, only way to get a good feed is the shave plastic to expose the copper wires. Then connect up. on tick over should be reading 0.44-0.48 volts. If to low it zeros out, if to high will show 3.-4. something. Best way to adjust is slightly undo 2 x screws and tap the tps either clockwise or anti clockwise, to get it as close as you can. If stuck let me know and i will give you a bell. Stu

Removing stickers & adhesive
Re removing the sticker of the dash, when i was a valeter, we used a product called tar and glue remover, dosent eat through anything, used to remove the stickers of old British gas van, simply wipe on, leave for a while ,and wipe off, then rinse. Think halfrauds do a similar thing. but try it on a small area first out of sight on the dash to ensure it dosent react witht the plastic Another is Amorall wipes in matt sold at halfrauds too.
