  1. Been to the same resort as bigmincey is going too. Fantastic country, amazing place and the nicest people ever. If you get a chance do a ceynote safari. basically under water cave diving, with a snorkel, wet suit and life jacket. or if your qualified do the same with scuba, but remember your padi licence. Would go back today if i had the cash.
  2. hi mate long time no hear, you still got the blue zed? stu
  3. I dont know what the situation around the rest of the country, but most ford mondeo's i see around in Sussex have ducktape on either front or rear bumpers or both, its not just a few, i would say nearly 80% have some body part taped up with ducktape. Do they come with a factory fitted roll of black ducktape,
  4. twin turbo and nissan fairlady z for the perspex strip in silver please when you get them done.
  5. lol Priceless!! ..................feed him to the pigs errol
  6. Luckily nothing on the zed, but on saturday go to tescos bank machine, there are 3 all with people queuing up, wait for my turn, put card in, enter pin number, withdraw £30. remove card and walk off into tescos, bit of shopping, get to the checkout, go to pay, where's that money i just withdrew?? Then realised i hadnt taken the cash out of the machine and in my rush to by beer had walked off to early. Cant believe whoever was in the queue behind me didnt mention it to me as i walked off or that they didnt go and hand it in at customer service. So my bits of food and beer would have cost me £14.20, but actually cost me £44.20 :taz:
  7. dan i fitted a brand new one today, they move the same as yours, once the hicas or lock out bar is attached, with the wheel on, try moving the wheel.
  8. you have been adjusting the clutch pedal, laying on your back, like a contortionist, with your arms like an octopus..............
  9. Update. Its done Left the pivot ball soaking overnight, tried to hit this morning, still no movement. Down to local motor spares shop, one draper 2 arm puller later and its off, cleaned it all up, and new one fitted. Job done. Not to bad as the hicas ball joint, nissan wanted £78, but got one of ebay £32 and delivered next day. The puller was £12. Now holding the wheel, no movement at all.
  10. theres my answer............lol
  11. LOL in true dazvert style, the thread goes down. janus if your offended by that, i will clean it up, if not hit him back.........
  12. love the way the stig is looking out "mmmmm" at the zed. nice that the silver zed model has the same wheels too. excellent mate.
  13. Got a new one to replace the worn, following the write ups on here of how to remove, http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=92607&highlight=outer+ball+joint i have ground down the bit that used to attach to the hicas arm, and removed the small collar to enable me to whack it through with a socket towards the strut, i have tried a blow torch to heat the hub casing, dont want to hit it with a hammer as its alloy. Bearing in mind its probably been on there since the zed was made, 17 years now............. its toit, toit like a tiger.......... Its now soaking overnight in some plus gas in a plastic bag with a rubber band to seal. Any ideas before i get the 16lb sledge hammer out???
  14. Well the old girl has been sorned for 8 months now, when i got her, she was full of crappy veilside skirts, huge rear spoiler and a manky front bumper. The bumper is back to OEM, the rear spoiler was sent off to hollowpoint as a freebie, and a new fibreglass 89 spec has been fitted along with new brake light. The skirts came off to expose all manner of rust issues, so after much removal and messing around, new parts sourced, and all the old yucky stuff replaced, new inner ,outer sills, and returns all replaced. Waited to long for my welder to turn up, so bit the bullet and got my own. After a few trails i started to weld myself. Basically anything that looked like it would fail in the near future, has been cut out and replaced. Also fitted a complete set of unorthodox pulleys and belts. Just a last small section of welding to do before mot, but will need advice from the tester re its location and how to do it, and to replace a hicas ball joint Not bad as i removed battery 5 months ago, charged it a few days back. Put it on this evening just to see what happened, started instantly, a bit tappy, but within 5 mins all was purring, all gauges working and everything electric working. No pics yet as still doing a full journal. stu
  15. My god didnt think i would get such a reply, keep em coming folks
  16. Sorry bud, rules is rules. Stu
  17. Yep we own zeds, but what made you get started? Ive had a few fairly quick cars and some total poo, but also a lotus sunbeam, RS2000 mk2. rover gsi turbo plus some others. The reason i bought my first zed. was a mate of mine got me started, when we went on a xmas do a few years back, and he turned up in auto TT, and i had a go. I was hooked instantly, just loved the shape, engineering and the look of the car. When i split up from my wife, i decided to get myself a toy, so i got a standard jap 91 TT auto, whilst being very happy with it, i was on here, and came across my TT UK, both zeds are still with me, the jap as spares, and the UK is my baby. Its such an addictive car, just from it sitting there looking pretty doing nothing, to opening it up and really going for it. Quite honestly the best motor for putting a smile on you face ive ever had. Interested to know, what made you go for a 300zx.? stu
  18. Good man. Like the way you think, ive got to work out were i left the car last night.
  19. GOOD GOD!!! that is bonkers, those tubs are huge, bet they made sure it was well strapped down.

  21. Nice to see this. guy asking for help and folks willing to help. good stuff folks. stu
  22. Jeff was that actually driven to you like that, surely not. :scared: Only worth weighing it in as scrap.
  23. keep your chin up mate, you know where i am if you want a chat
  24. Not done a zed bay before, but have done a mitsu gto, caused all manner of issues due to water on electrical connections, took a few hours with an air compressor to dry them out, that was just the ones you could get at. If doing the zed, wouldnt get to close to the electrical stuff, coilpacks, injectors, fuse box etc, the down the sides shouldnt be too bad, if you can covered the bits with say the fingers of old washing up gloves, but i would defo still have an air gun at the ready, do an area, then start the car, make sure all is good before cleaning another area.
