  1. I had my air filter first and it made a massive difference to the engine running. It was smoother as well as faster. The exhaust (Mongoose) made a difference but not as big. Ivan:D
  2. I had mine done by a local metal re-finisher for £25 per wheel + VAT and they look better than new IMHO. Ivan:D
  3. On the way to the POD today I was gunning it in third a couple of times and when I got to 5,000rpm it just stopped revving and slowly slowed down. I didn't do it all the time but just a couple of times. When I got there I noticed that one of the turbo pipes on the nearside turbo wasn't on very well at the front of the car. I tightened this up and it hasn't done it again since. Would such an air leak cause this problem? Ivan
  4. Cheers Duffmeister. I'll investigate this further! Ivan
  5. Sure does! Sounds expensive! Is it? Ivan
  6. Does sound like a bearingy type noise. When at standstill it only does it when the clutch pedal is NOT depressed. Ivan
  7. A new noise has just appeared on the black beast. If the clutch is engaged in first, second, or neutral there is a whining noise (bearing) but either it's not there or I can't hear it in third, fourth, or fifth. Could this be the clutch release bearing? Also it sounds like it's winding down when you come to a standstill when the clutch pedal is depressed. Any ideas? Ivan
  8. Only if you dont have the mobile speed camera sensing radar! Ivan
  9. The reasons I bought a Zed was it was the only Japaneese (reliability), turbo (easy to upgrade), rear/4wd, (handling), targa roofed (structural rigidity), uk spec (ease of getting parts) available with leather (wipe clean:p ) car I could think of! Plus I had always had Nissans so stick with what you know! Ivan
  10. Yeah we had one in for a customer with a Tuscan the other day. Really trick looking peice of kit with silver rimmed touch screen and loads of features including GPS etc. I'd love one on the Zed but will have to save up (£795.00:( ). Check out their website for more info. Ivan
  11. No! Wot my dumbass brother meant to say was I had a vented headlamp panel fitted! Ivan (hacked off older brother!) :D
  12. Brother here. Just thinking that myself!:D (Bummer lol)! Ivan
  13. Hey all, My borther has recently bought a new bonnet vent, the one with the big twin vents which fits inbetween the headlights, has anyone fitted this with the standard airbox in as he is having problems fitting it, the airbox seems to stick up too high and its obstructing the vent. any help is appreciated. thanks
  14. Is this the big undertray that fits to the front bumper? If so mine has never had one fitted to it in the 3 months i've owned it. It broke off on the way home from buyng it and have never got around it re-fitting it. Ivan
  15. Yeah deffo a good plan. I've also noticed ads for creme eggs as well! FFS Ivan :D
  16. If you want to go faster than the zed for £10000 why not try a TVR Griffith/Chimaera. You can get a m/n reg Chimaera for the money and eat a zed in the dry (anything above 4.0ltr). They also sound the bo**ocks! Chimaera is the "soft" option (if there is a soft TVR) Griffith more hardcore. Only 2 seats but not bad boots, shelf behind seats and targa/full open roof!. Ivan :D
  17. I'd deffo be up for that! No track time though - trying to save the pennies!:D Where is the castle coombe circuit? Ivan
  18. Saw a red zed yesterday entering M54 or M6 Yesterday (Saturday) at about 8:50ish am. Anyone on here? (I was in a VW Polo) Ivan:D
  19. Do you know how much it will be MAC? Ivan :D
  20. Just getting the mechanicals right would be nice! But wheels, induction kit, exhaust & decat. Hopefully:D Ivan
  21. I need that front bumper NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ivan:D
  22. 1. Save money for monster body job on zed - end of '03 2. Fit more parts to zed 3. Get zed mechanically well 4. Clean zed more often! Happy zeding everyone! Ivan :D
  23. I prefer my extreme off-road mountain biking (no better feeling than being on the edge of a major off into 2 foot jagged rocks at 20mph). I also ski, and like motorsport. Anything that you can go really fast with really! Ivan :D
  24. Also the master clyinder seals have gone in mine causing spongy brakes. Ivan :D
