  1. No, not running cold all the time, After about 3-4 miles the temp guage shoots up to normal conditions. I've not topped it up for as long as I own it (6 weeks) but it was low when I bought it. Don't know how long it was low before I bought it. I do know that it had a re-con engine 5,000 miles ago. And there is some water in the footwells but I thought this was when I washed it and water got down in the scuttle panel. It's not losing any water on the garage floor. I did think about the thermostat so this could be the problem. I don't drive it hard all the time just accelerate hard for a short time occasionally but don't drive it very fast (no more than 85 on dual carriageways) and I only drive 2-3 times a week. It's going into Jeffs in a week for some work so mabye I'll get him to have a look into the problem. Ivan :D
  2. Yeah topped coolant up last saturday from very low. Ivan
  3. Driving along last night with the front screen misted up as usual (had to wipe with a cloth three times in 15 miles) and the temp was on freezing even though the temp was set to the top! When I joined the dual carriagway and hammered it upto about 85 the temperature raised again. When I slowed down it was cold again. On the return journey it was up and down all over the place. Any ideas Ivan:mad:
  4. I have found this also. The heated rear screen doesn't work on mine which makes reversing close to some railings and round a corner into my garage a 'mare. My windows don't seem to clear away unless both windows are down and the roof is off - a problem at this time fo year! I am wondering if this is a heater fault. I will be getting Jeff to look into this problem in 10 days when my car goes into him. Ivan:D
  5. I'd like to thank everyone involved with the forum and on here for the advise and endless laughter. Andy Z for the second hand parts - the 4th emergency service! Cheerz geezas. Ivan
  6. My bro' had a powerflow system on his Micra (blue "GTR") which was a dual system (one either side) and was £320 which included making new mounts and took about 3 hours. Still ok after a year but does rattle when cold and more than one person aboard could be the weight of all the subs LOL. We've tried to find this rattle but the car will probably be going back to Powerflow to be sorted. Ivan:D
  7. I know that I've forgotten some people as it was at least three months ago at the midlands meet but here goes:- MAC scoops b19rks john newcomb clakrey chris (liberachi) spell? And others........... :D
  8. I'd laugh if a rock/new metal group had the number one and kicked the pop people in the bin where they belong:mad: Ivan
  9. Just a bit af trivia that I picked up when on holliday in Andorra - in Spanish Pajero means w*nk*r! Don't know if this is true - just thought I would say it!:D Ivan
  10. I would imagine that the IC'c and rad would cool better without the undertray as there is more air around said parts. Anyway without it it also reduces MASS (OMG what have I started now) Ivan
  11. I have a similar problem with my brakes - very dodgy!!!!  Ivan
  12. Springs are different to Jap & UK spec cars. How many miles have they done as my front shockers have done 87,000 miles and are well soft. Wondering if the springs are fubared as well. Ivan
  13. What spec car are the springs for chaps? Ivan:confused:
  14. Same spec as mine!!!!:D Hopefully going to get a RED respray at the end of next year though. Ivan
  15. Do you really need the undertray? Mine fell of as soon as I got the car (6 weeks)ago and I've not had the time to put it back. Anyone else know the answer to this question? Ivan:confused:
  16. Dom you know his full address then Andy m8? Or will it just be better to pm him? Ivan :D
  17. Do you want to sell these or not Jay? Ivan:D
  18. I also have his top 100 book 'cos I thought of that when he said it tonite! :(
  19. How easy is it to fit heated seats to a car without them. Is it just a case of putting the elements in and wiring up two switches? If so where do the switches go on your car crazy man. :D :D
  20. When I bought the car the undertray was broken off (which I didn't realise unitil I got home) so i just removed it. It's sat in my garage now for five weeks and I was wondering if anyone else has got one fitted or if they've removed them. Ivan :D
  21. Heated seats?! Is this a Jap spec only option. My UK car doesn't have it (I think)! Ivan
  22. Jay m8 youv'e got mail. Ivan :D :D
  23. OMG I thought I had logged onto the fight club forum!!!!!:D Seems that there is two battles going on here. Anyway to get back to topic - you really need to drive both the supra and the zed to make up your own mind. The reason I bought the zed was that it was the only car that I could think of that fitted all my criteria:- Japanese - for reliability (!) Targa top - Don't like full cabrios - to wobbly to drive Turbo - like the "hit" of the turbo's and the sound Rear drive - hate front wheel drive Not too common - like the exclusivity Easy to mod - loads of stuff available Internet forums - for advise if needed Also I had two Nissan's and used to work at a dealer so I thought I'd stick with what I know. Ivan:D
  24. Next meeting is toworrow at the performance car day at Stenson nr. Derby. Please look in "events" and me and John have posted in there. Ivan
