What does the boost guage on the dash read when it's on full boost? Should be be about 3/4 around (9.5psi I think?). If the cruise control doesn't work try pulling up on the brake pedal and then try setting it. If this works the brake pedal switch need adjusting which is right up in the dash behind the instrument cluster. Easiest way of getting to it is removing the cluster. As I work in a TVR garage which all have META systems I would agree with Stuart. If I was you I would rip out the META system and drop-kick it into the nearest skip!:mad:

My heater matrix has died - no heat at all!!! Just a note - I was replacing my Grandads flat garage roof today - freezing! Also just to show I'm a gluton for puinishment I was golfing on Monday - also pretty chilly! Ivan:D

I do a lot of extreme mountain biking and without a towbar you have to buy one of those carriers that fits to the tailgate and rubs off all of your nice (!) paintwork so one of these would be the perfect answer! Ivan:cool:

Thanks for the advise Timmy but have some answers for some of the probs:- Latz told me that he thought the heater matrix was fubar. I have had the centre dash vents out and tried to feel water previously but to no avail but on the way home from GPS (120 miles) it lost 1 litre of warm coolant so I dont think it's the drain pipe. I think that the cruise sontrol prob is the cruise switches behind the instruments need adjusting as I posted about this a while ago. I've checked all the pads and they seem fine. Temp guage was probably something to do with the fact that my coolant was low as it was all in my passenger footwell! JeffTT has had my car since Monday and is checking all these problems for me anyway. I have checked all the fuses in both boxes shotly after I bought it 6 weeks ago so all these are fine. I've also already cleaned the throttle bodies with carb cleaner and loads of under-bonnet connectors and tps switch and re-set the ecu whilst I was doing this but didn't seem to make any difference. I suspect the crunching gears will be the synchros wearing and I have just recieved the onwers manual I've had on order for an age so I know I havn't had it on re-circ always as it's normally on the screen option. And lastly the brakes are spongy if you don't pump the pedal a couple of times as I think there's an airlock in the system somewhere. Thanks for suggesting some solutions anyway. Looks very much like the prop bearing on the Freelander! When I worked at a Lnadrover dealership we changed loads when they first came out and they all looked like that one!:D Ivan
