Jeff good news for you mate. Just changing the subject slightly, mine is smoking a little on idle and when it's cold, I was wondering if the pcv's would cure mine. I already have some on order from the states. The drivers one is coated in oil. Do you have much experience of PCV's fixing smoking problems? Ivan

Had a weird steering problem on the 300 the other day. It's been feeling light and like it's not connected to the wheels for the first 15-20 miles of driving for a while now but I was driving her the other day and until a certain amount of lock (at over about 40mph) it went really heavy. But if I was turning a tightish corner it was really heavy then all of a sudden it went light and the steering jerked because I was pulling on it so much so I had to correct. In towns it doesn't seem to happen at all. What do we think this problem is? U.J? Speed sensitivity sensor? Rack? Fluid? Any help would of course be appreciated. Cheers Ivan

Was just wondering something. I have come into owning a copy of the Nissan Fast parts catalogue. Which is pants :xxx: . I was wondering if anyone had the Courtesy CD ROM and if it was better/different. It certainly looks better and easier to use judging by their site. Ivan

Mine does this. But (when it's warm) all I have to do is tap up the throttle pedal a few times and all seems well again. Not ideal but don't know what else it is. Ivan

Yeah you need one in the front bumper but not one in the wing. Ivan

Yeah cheers guy's. Andy - you suggested the PTU connector before mate and that cleared it up loads. I think it's something to do with that one connector. Where would be a good earth? Plenum chamber? Ivan

Yeah had the injector connector off and checked it but seems fine. Injector is actually firing fine so I think it's spark. Does anyone know how to check the wiring? Ivan

Yeah that's what I thought. I've swapped the coil packs about and it doesn't seem to have made a difference. How do I check the wiring?

Guy's, I have a strange missfire on tickover and upto about 2000 - 2500rpm. I Have swapped the coil packs about and this hasn't made a difference. I took the spark plug out to see what that was like and the end was black so I mire brushed it and cleaned it up and put it back it but no difference. The injector is firing fine. When I take the coil pack connector off it doesn't make any difference to the engine running like all the others do. I have heard it may be the PCV valves. I have done a visual inspection of these and the left bank one (where the missfire is) looks ok, but the right hand side one seems to be leaking oil (?!). Would that be making the difference? The PTU seems ok. Please help guy's as I'm at the end of my tether with it. Cheers Ivan
