  1. I would have thought that you mean the aircon fan? If so then you need to have the heater set to cold and on full blast and give that a go. Ivan
  2. Yeah I swapped the plug and the coil mate.
  3. Check the FAQ section mate. Look under the 'engine by numbers' section.
  4. How do I go about doing an ECU diagnostic? Do I need to un-attach the ECU from it's mounting? Ivan
  5. Yes as Baggins said wheel balancing at the very least.

Yes. I replaced this on mine from Courtesy last week.
  7. Hmmm I'll give it a go and see what happens.
  8. Sorted. Removed the bottom U.J. and tried to move it and it only went in one direction. Replaced it and all is now well.
  9. OK sounds good. I'll give it a go.
  10. I'm always sceptical about these things. Has anyone used this in their zed's. Does anyone think it would be a good idea. I may have a sticking valve so I was wondering if this would cure it? Ivan
  11. We use that stuff at work. Is it really ok to use in our motors? Ivan
  12. Hi guy's. As you may know I have had a missfire on tickover now for sometime. I have just replaced all the corroded injector and coil pack connectors. Went out for a run and now it's missing all the time no matter the revs. Before it was only missing below about 1500rpm. The problem seems to lie with the centre coil pack on the LH bank because when I take the plug off the top the engine note remains the same. I have also swapped coil packs around to no avail. As I drive the car now under full throttle it seems to stop missing for a second or so every couple of mins. The only thing I haven't tried is the spark plug but I have taken it out and cleaned it up and it seemed newish? Could this be my series one PTU going west? Why now I've replaced all the connectors would it make the problem worse? Is it just the ECU re-learning it's settings? Cheers Ivan
  13. Hmmm dont think it's the sensor because it does it at all speeds. Speedo reading seems ok. It feels mechanical. Andy - hello mate. How do I check the U.J? I can get the car in the air easy enough. Do I need to be under the car? Ivan
  14. Yeah good tip. If you don't want barbequing - disconnect the battery! Brothers doing the wiring so would have been a shock to him!
  15. No just checked them. Seem all ok. Fitted some new ones last year.

Yeah thought that was the one. About half an hours drive from here in the zed. Ivan
  18. Steering problem has now got worse. At any speed now as I turn the wheel it's really notchy and jerks as you turn the wheel. It feels like light-heavy-light-heavy all the time. It's getting a little dangerous now. When i corner/overtake I have to heave the car only for it to go light all of a sudden and I have to correct my own movements! Someone please help. Ivan
  19. Has anyone done this repair themselves? Ivan
  20. I'll only be there on Sunday now  Will be on the Z club stand. Black UK spec car.
