Hi everyone Driving to the missus's house yesterday afternoon there was a loud rattling from the engine shortly before it cut out in a massive cloud of smoke and something went under the car just as a police car went by :smash: Anyways stopped in a layby and looked underneath and there was oil lagging down the back. Called the recovery man (Mickeyb) and walked down the road to find the bit that fell off. I found half a big end cap. Never mind it's in a better place (ZworX) temporarily having major surgery. It'll be back - better than ever. It's managed to survive 4 years of abuse and drifting from me on a second hand engine that was put in 30k ago which was an unknown quantity as the previous owner had this fitted. Ivan :cry: :cry:

I dont want to get into trouble but the Japshow is and has been a national event since ive been a 300zx club member since 2002. National events IMO are....... TRAX JAE Japfest 1 & 2 I know that there is more that were organised, but as i only arranged the midlands pub/mini meets/Xmas do how am i supposed to know. Ivan

Ive been thinking about if for over a month, as ive not had anytime to organise events as you can see if you had a look Jason. I've not seen or heard from chunk since last weekend at Japfest II, so can i ask you to retract your comment please as that is out of order. I will not be leaving the club as i believe it is a good source of info and banter. Ivan

The NEO hasnt arranged a 300zx.co.uk stand, but i know others including me will be on other club stands. Ivan

Due to recent comments by the NEO within regard to me not arranging a national event which is held at Santa pod and personel commitments i will be resigning from the post of the midlands events organiser. Can the Commitee/Moderators remove my mod access from the mids and national areas asap. I will continue to go to organised 300zx.co.uk meets and will persue to help out my successor. Thanks Ivan

Hi guy's and gals. I have been doing my HICAS rack and I removed the fuel tank heatsheild which fits to the front of the tank. Trouble is I snapped off 3 of the 4 bolts. Now what I want to ask is how many of you guy's have this fitted? And is it worth my while drilling and tapping the bolts out or just leave it off? I can't see it's doing much TBH as the exhaust is closer at the sides than the front. Ivan

Take the rad cap off and check for weird mayonnaise type substance. Is there any smoke? Has it got any coolant or is it just water? Ivan

I've had mine done there too mate - the rears twice. Total rub down and re-paint in standard silver. Excellent service. Ivan

I would try to do bleed the ad again mate in the dry and leave it overnight. How long did you have it running. It took me 3 days to bleed mine up properly. Hicas light on. Hmm fluid is ok you say? Are all the connectors to the cactuator secure at the front. The fluid dipstick should have a mark on it. Is it up to there? Ivan
