black or white
I like the one's on Steve300zx's Zed and would wire them to the indicators, use chrome bulbs, and use them as rear repeaters. But I don't know where you can buy them!

What about a 'Tech. Day/Weekend'?
That's really valuable input from both Andy and Ian, many thanks guys for giving your considered opinions. I am interested to note that most of the posts on here come from experienced members like themselves, and most of them are not being very encouraging, even though the voting is! As this 'TECH.DAY' meet would be highly dependant on support from members such as these, there would be little point of progressing the idea forward without such support. I have to listen to those more experienced than myself, but I will wait until the end of the poll in a few days before making any final conclusions. Please vote on this poll if you haven't already done so.

What about a 'Tech. Day/Weekend'?
I'll not argue with your comments, in fact I welcome them. I realise it's one thing to have a 'good' idea and another to bring it to fruition, but I really do believe such an event could be practical and useful. As has been said before, there would be many obstacles to overcome...some of which you've mentioned...but some of your comments have already been answered. "Too many people expecting freebies"?...Post 13 - The intention is for members, who do not have the knowledge to carry out a specific job that needs doing on their Zed, but do have the general electro/mechanical abilities required, to carry out the job themselves using their own tools and parts under the GUIDANCE of someone qualified to advise. "Who gets priority members, or non-members"?...Post #1 - It would comprise a national meet, somewhere fairly central, where subscribed members who need help and guidance carrying out some modification/repair/service/upgrading/etc. to their Zeds could get together and, under supervision of some knowledgable person, carry out the work required. "These cars are not bread and butter mechanics....etc"...I didn't see this as a 'major tune-up' type of meet, more a sort of DIY/fit-it-yourself as stated above (modifications/repair/service/upgrading), examples that spring to mind are, 6k service, 60k service, lowering suspension, fitting HID's, fitting indiglo dials, replacing brake pads, replacing silencer etc.....etc. I think your idea of a 'tune-up' day at a rolling road seems like a great idea, but would attract a different type of member than would be likely to attend the 'TECH. DAY' meet that I am suggesting. Maybe the title I am suggesting is wrong....perhaps your idea should be called 'TECH.DAY' and mine perhaps 'FIX-IT DAY'

exhaust
Because I still don't need an exhaust at the moment and, as the previous group buy wasn't too long ago, there probably wouldn't be enough members who would join a new one.

New forum!
Quite right Kim, and I'm in SC anyway.

What about a 'Tech. Day/Weekend'?
Why do you think that, Paul?

exhaust
I THINK these are the ones that were the subject of a group buy on here last year. I was sorely tempted to buy them then but my system was still in good condition so I couldn't justify the expense. I can't wait for it to start blowing somewhere so I can go out and buy one, hopefully there will be another group buy going on by then.

Castle Combe Spring Action Day - April
If you mean me Lisa, yes I did take 7 short videos on my digital still camera but they're pretty crap. I've never put anything on youtube before, let alone linking anything to this site, but I'll give it a try now. Goodness knows how long it will take me:D The quality's crap so you'll have to identify yourselves, I can make out yourself, Red Zed and MadMarco on a couple of them, but you have to be quick.

Who is in South Central...
Just trying to clarify an area that many members seem to be unclear about. I hope what I said is correct, or have I got egg on my face?

Who is in South Central...
That's a shame because we've got an SC meet at Wellington Country Park on 27th. Never mind, there's always next time...........look forward to meeting you soon.

What about a 'Tech. Day/Weekend'?
Hi Darrell - This is a popular question which is difficult to answer at this very early stage. I think it will largely depend on the number of members wanting to attend a TECH. DAY/WEEKEND. I initially thought it would only be used by members with some specific task to be carried out on their own car by themselves. I thought that having perhaps dozens of 'interested' parties looking over your shoulder whilst you try to carry out these tasks might be somewhat offputting. But at this stage I suppose we should keep an open mind on this subject and see what suggestions and interest the membership put forward. At the moment there seems to be a healthy interest but I think there needs to be a lot more interest before too much time and effort is put into organising such an event. For a start it's going to be a fairly formidable task finding a suitable location. So we should take it a step at a time.

Who is in South Central...
The regions are set up primarily to organise regular meets, usually within their own area and, of course, these meets are usually attended by the local members. But, and it's a very important BUT, any member is entitled AND WELCOME to attend any of the 'local' meets around the country. For example if you lived in SW region and wanted to attend a 'local' meet in Scotland, you would be made very welcome by the Scottish folk. Wiltshire IS in SC by the way, when you received your membership papers they would have included a map illustrating which county comprises each region. But, as stated above, it is quite common for SW and SC members to attend each others meets. Just one more thing, a couple of the regions have been changed FROM TODAY With SW now being TWO regions, Devon/Cornwall and Gloucester/Bristol. Finally, East Anglia has been given it's own regional status. Hope I've made things a bit clearer (and not confused you more)

Castle Combe Spring Action Day - April
A couple of photos (rather grainy) from today First one of MadMarco (Sorry it's not a better one Marco) Second one who I don't think was a member (but at least it was a Zed)

Castle Combe Spring Action Day - April
Agree with Lisa......we had a super day out and combined it with an hour or so at a local pub which ALL good meets must include. The rain didn't dampen our enthusiasm or enjoyment. Now looking forward to May's Castle Combe meet.

Poll to split the regions
I think what Kim has posted is a good step and will please a lot of members (although of course not all). I hope the new regions will support the changes enthusiastically by putting forward their Regional Event Organisers names.
-
Poll to split the regions
But the poll was up less than two weeks, Kim. I agree the number who voted was quite low, but most regions were unaffected by the proposed changes anyway. Wouldn't it be more meaningful if only the regions affected were invited to vote, similar to what SW has been doing?

What about a 'Tech. Day/Weekend'?
Thought I'd give this a bump as there's only a few days left to the end of the poll. Eighteen like the idea so far, maybe I should take it to the next step.....what do you think.

Castle Combe Spring Action Day - April
Not necessary so far as I am concerned.
