Headlights - need them brighter.
Many thanks Pete for your generous offer but I must do it for myself, if only to prove that I can. BUT, if you want to offer a FOC 60k service including cam belt and other belts I might be tempted though, lol  Cheers - Dave

Headlights - need them brighter.
Well.........it doesn't sound too difficult if you say it like that. Maybe I'll bite the bullet and do it! I'll give it a little more thought over the week-end and then decide. I want to thank all you guys for the advice you have given, I think it's steered me in the right direction. Cheers - Dave

Headlights - need them brighter.
Thanks for your pm, Dave, I have replied. So far as HID's are concerned I agree everyone is telling me they are the answer to my poor lighting, but they seem to require a lot of work to fit, requiring brackets and wiring and things which is a bit offputting for me. I've also read an article about cleaning the lights themselves and the time given is a minimum of three hours PER LIGHT. I was hoping I could just change the bulbs for some more powerful ones but it appears I am wrong (that's not unusual). I will have to give these HID's some serious thought but they do sound a bit daunting. Cheers - Dave

Is this TV any good? Good price?
Seems a bit pricey to me for a 27" screen - They're 'out of stock' anyway so have a look around for a better bargain. Cheers - Dave

Thanks Chris, I think this is the first intelligent answer I've received on this thread (out of 20 posts) - I'll give him a try, watch the time! Cheers - Dave

Please sort the b****y time out!!
Can anyone tell me who is responsible for setting the site clock. There have been several threads over the last week from various members, including myself, pointing out that the site clock is more than one hour fast. No-one seems to be taking any notice and it is causing me, and therefore I presume other members, a lot of problems as we can't tell what time replies were posted etc. Will someone PLEASE sort it out. If you tell me who is responsible I will pm that person continuously until it is sorted. We at least deserve an explanation. (no 'lol' either)

Led Rear Lights
So long as they are not copyright I can't see any problem with copying them. I would certainly be interested in a set from anywhere at a reasonable price. They are only at £87 at the moment but I wonder what they will finish at in 4 days time. Like many of you, I have been watching from the sidelines without bidding as I don't want to push the price up. I spotted them before this thread opened and cursed a little when it got all this publicity. BTW I think they're a 'one-off' as he says they have 'a small scratch'.

Loosing intrest
I understand where you're coming from and you've got a good heart. I'll say no more on the subject and hope this matter gets resolved soon to everyones satisfaction.

Loosing intrest
Which is what we are ALL entitled to do 'Cos the guy STILL has not received his 2005, repeat 2005, Christmas raffle prize So they are above critism then? Perhaps they do most of the time but not in this case (in my opinion) That's what they're there for, to carry the can and sort out problems like Chris's. "If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen."

Loosing intrest
I agree with Chris on this one, if he told you about it before Christmas 2006 shouldn't it have been sorted by now? We need to keep our long serving m8's happy not lose them by treating them with disrespect.

Get that clock fixed!!!
I mentioned this a week or so ago that the site clock has gone banana's. It's now showing more than 1 hour fast. Why doesn't someone fix it :hyper: :slap:

Who Have We Got In The South Central Region.
Where you going? I don't see anything on this thread about a meet! Not sure where I belong, South Central or South West so I thought I might 'float' between the two.

Headlights - need them brighter.
What about these 'xenon upgrade bulbs H1' from ebay. Has anyone tried them and are they any good? (they're cheap so are they useless?) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-300ZX-87-94-XENON-HEADLIGHT-BULBS-HID-UPGRADE_W0QQitemZ250081554240QQihZ015QQcategoryZ72235QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Dave Edit - Sorry Alan, didn't see your post before posting this one as I was searching Ebay - perhaps I'll give them a try if they are an improvement on the standards. - Dave

£235 quid!!!!!!!! Sorry chaps, way out of my price range. Any cheaper alternatives? Dave

Headlights - need them brighter.
The headlights on my import are pretty dim (a bit like me). What options are available for having them brighter? I don't want anything too ambitious like a complete headlight change can you get more powerful bulbs or something equally simple? Dave

Things To Do Over The Winter...
I'm one of those lucky guys that likes his Zed 'as it is' without all these fancy mods, so my only job will be fitting my G-B indiglos. I realise that many of you get most of your pleasure from upgrading or blinging your Zeds, I just enjoy the sheer pleasure of driving mine. Horses for courses :nana2: Cheers - Dave ps Oh, and I must update my signature sometime.

Pension Age
Don't knock it - I used to use the bus maybe once every five years, 'cause I ALWAYS used my car. Since getting my pass I use the bus whenever I can and it saves me pounds & pounds in petrol, parking fees and wear&tear on the car. It saves me hours of time travelling (buses have bus lanes you know) and looking for parking spaces. Plus lots of frustration I would otherwise suffer in traffic queues. I don't expect you to wish your life away but being a wrinkley has it's benefits. Cheers - Dave

Pension Age
I don't remember reading that in the legislation. In any case not many of them bleed at over 60
